ji dam was an interesting character before the time skip but after it was not the case and a waste

I think the red sleeve is much better since it is more connected to historical facts than wind of the palace.

me too ji dam as the younger version was very well portrayed plus it was dynamic, interactive and have a lot of vivacity while they killed off the character with the adult version with a bold hopeless one.

I have one thing more to say is that the most epic scene in the drama is the last scene when king jeongjo fulfilled his father's wish by building a royal library inside the palace and gathered peoples regardless their status to work in it and the most hilarious moment when he acknowledged and presented himself saying : Naneun sado seja adeuli ida which means I am crown prince sado son . I am pleased to hear him say that fearlessly.

The problem is till now as shown in modern drama the class system in Korea still exist maybe as not a law of the nation but between people a lot of racism for class system, in schools,public areas, between love of a chaebol and a modern to poor class boy or girl it was. Those who has money and power are treated differently from those who haven't and they can step on them as much as they want out of reach of the law but it can be solved this the state believe in equality in front of the law however between people this doesn't exist when it is out of the authority radar.

It can achieve a max of 8 from my point of view, because it went down a lot, dragged somewhere, the killing off of seo ji dam character and transforming her into a lifeless one in her adult version, the absence of romance between her and sado who was implicitly shown before the time skip, these facts impact negatively on the drama even if this drama shows cp sado as a good and wise man who dreamed for new Joseon while his ideology was exceptional and he has the gut to fight till the end and didn't dared to use sword in his political fight against his father and was always benevolent even to his enemies. He was branded by lunacy due to this fact however I appreciated they showed him in this way even if in his wife historical memoir he was a madman and violent who beats people around him and the main instigator of his psychical behavior was his father disrespect to him and negligence of his thought and capacity and was tough and controlling on him fearing out that he may overpower him in the near future. I am honored they showed yeonjgo here fatherly love to his dreamer son who tried to understand, counsel and protect his son till the end but surrendered to the venomous norons who put him on that throne.

I find him not a madman(based on lady hyeogyeong his wife memoir) but a dreamer with a gut to achieve more suitable because he is the first cp of Joseon who thought to shake up the foundation class system and cared for people more than himself. I respect his ideality.

This drama portrayed the beautiful rumors about cp sado which there was a controversial about, It was enlightening how they brought up sado in this story, he was reported as a criminal and for lunacy because he wants a better Joseon where equality reign among peoples and was trying his utmost to achieve that believe but ended up accused as a traitor and dead which was heartbreaking because of the nobles and the noron faction greed and love of power and superiority. They showed how weak yeongjo was to be controlled by this court and his throne was precarious and was always cajoling to balance the throne as so he was drenched by blood and always haranguing sado for his stubbornness of his futile dream but also they surfaced the fatherly love who tried to protect his son to the end and the son who refused to point a sword on his father neck even if he considers him as a political enemy.
That was a good as a drama but it had too many went downs and I had expected more, some fictionality as a romance between seo ji dam and the cp sado which was only utterly shown before the time skip when the actress was KYJ who boosted a vivacity and a life to this character in contrast to the adult actress who was bold and her role was very restricted which I disliked. I don't want them to follow historical facts because park bing jae seo ji dam court lady name was his consort but at least they needed to keep the character alive somehow and not kill it off and make it hopeless. That why my rating was a 8.5 this the max I could give and It deserve lower also. Beside all that, they showed crown princess and her father as two caring people for the cp but they care truly for themselves in the court starting from when the father ask the king to execute the cp and the foolish naïve wife who exposed her husband plan for a better Joseon which was not containing traitors (if even they are treated like) and treachery and was misunderstood for his noble believes , thinking of her she was protecting him.
From what I watched from red sleeve, I think jeongjo ressemble to this father portrayed in this drama in too many ways that's why I believe this story is more accurate about cp sado and not the one written in lady hyeogyeong because if he had consorts beside her she will sure sue him and proclaim his lunacy and violent behavior as husband even if it make sense since yeonjgo as shown in this drama also was a strict father and king who always opposed his son thought and never praised him for his doings even after he solved critical issues that's why I waited for sado to go crazy in the late episodes and become a rampaging person like the other Joseon kings but since it didn't happen that was for the good of both hypothesis .
What I wish now is for a big historical drama that exemplify the period extending from king sukjeong reign( The fight between suk bin and hee bin and the story of being favorite by the king) then we go to yeonjgo reign and his conflicts with cp sado and shows yeonjgo favorize to his daughters,afterwhile we jumps to king jeongjo reign and his love story with consort ui bin seong. For sure, it will be mixing some fictional facts and i wish for the same actors if possible to continue in the drama when it sequel from a reign to another. I know i have superstition thought but I trust the Korean art entertainment and production department to think about this kind of project that will be a big jackpot into the dramaworld

I am really impressed by her, I recognized her talent in the penthouse, thought i watched gunman in Joseon I didn't notice her. I love her and her voice is so tender she is a real opera singer lmfao

the first and second season were awesome but the third one went a bit off the road, why should yoon hee die early and ms shim twisted death is sad as she decided it as her own, Dr ha is dead now bo ra na is an orphan where both her parents are dead i feel so sorry and mortified for her live even after she achieved the success she and her late mother wanted, I am disappointed also in how the relationship between ra na and eun byul became when they are half sisters because of eun byul savage and extra- jealous greedy mother whom I am happy that she took her life in the end after seeing how her daughter is living happy without her and felt a sense of conscience in her mind. I am very happy that dan tae has faced a cruel death because he deserves that, your wrecked life in the past doesn't give you the right to this dirty future of yours and pure evil embezzlement extorting criminal acts.
Brief, Everything was outstanding from the soundtracks to the actors lead and support beside it is the first drama in my Korean drama history that contains different conflicts between adults and adults, adults and children,children and children, and how the children were growing during the seasons was a very brilliant point and how parents relationship can affect the friendly system of the children and turn them into enemies.
Kudos for the screenwriter, director and actors in this drama for their performance and export of this piece of art to the viewers and I wish more of this type of series. Btw I was astonished by the actress who portrayed bae ro na she was amazing how she put up with all the humiliations and rotten people she faced and achieved glory by stepping on them and avenging her mother demise in the end
