The leads' chemistry is the only thing going for this drama and even then, it's not enough when the rest is so abysmal. This show would have worked better if they made the romance the central emotional core and used it effectively to further the plot. Instead, we get a myriad of random storylines ranging from gangsters/hygiene and serial killer who looks like creature from the black lagoon, to company conspiracy and superwoman. All of those attempt to drive the plot and failed miserably. In trying to cram so many storylines and themes, the drama is unable to fully commit to any one of them and the overall plot goes nowhere. After watching a handful of episodes, I can only say that a bunch of random things happened and our OTP were able to receive many sweet moments. But that's not enough to keep me watching when the drama itself lacks focus.
Hahaha Same ! I finished it yesterday morning (also two days run) and I feel so lonely - almost like I won't be…
This ranks up there with "Ten miles Peach Blossoms" ( the only other recent one I watched that left me for road kill). I thought I was in for a very decent drama and was not prepared for getting hit by a ton of bricks...not even the abrupt ending can have me label this as anything less than a masterpiece. It's a 9.5/10 for me
Loved the acting, characters, and chemistry between the main leads! Especially liked the romance progression and the fact that the hero came to terms with his feelings before finding out the truth. He truly proved that he loves the girl for her present self and not just because of his past memories of her.
I'm a drama veteran (been watching kdramas since the year 2000) and this will go down as one of my favorite dramas of all time! In terms of plot cohesion, character depth, romance progression, and overall additive factor, this ranks up there with all of my favorite dramas. This drama also achieved the rare feat of being able to mix action, romance, and conspiracy effectively without foregoing one in favor of the other.
The OTP's chemistry is out of this world and had me giddy like a teenager, falling in love along with them. It's also swoonworthy that our superman male lead loves without reserve and is unable to live without his beloved. His constant need to be near her at all times had me squealing like a school girl!!! All three leads, Jung Hoo, Young Shin, Moon Ho, and our beloved Ahjumma Min Ja deserve the highest accolades!
Basically, this drama is a drug that transforms you into an addict (finished this in two days, sacrificing sleep) and leaves a void in your heart.
I realize I don't understand Prince Yu's birth story. Was he the son of Hua princess or not? Did she…
FYI, Prince Yu's mother is actually the lesser known of the Hua princesses: Princess Linglong. Her sister, Hua princess Xuanji is the one who's talked about more, known as Banruo's master and former owner of the Red Sleeves Brothel.
Started out with a bang and I loved the lead girl's acting -she really drew me in. But, sadly the plot fell apart (the mystery went nowhere and was pointless) and by the end of it, not even the charming second male lead can save this. Classic example of a drama that started out strong, but ended up losing direction and tried relying on the love triangle to carry it to the end. Too bad that didn't work...
