Pretty sure the ‘present’ Wad is a lookalike hired by the uncle or whatever (never believe in deaths that aren’t shown on screen guys),he most probably told her about her supposed past and is going to steal the stone for him. I’m, personally, not into this theory. What i would LIKE to happen is for the newly introduced Wad to actually be the real deal, which would fit in with the fact that third somewhat remembers bits from his past life. Cause i feel like San’s feelings for Wee, are at least in part, influenced by the belief that he was Wad in his past life. I would really like to see San realize that he loved Wad and now likes Wee for who he is and not for who he might have been.
(Also because, by the way, im not into the usual ‘but they were this person in their past life’ storyline, no matter who was who and when, they are bound to be different persons based on the influence from the people and world surrounding them. I HATE when character randomly remember their past life and do a 180 personality wise.)
Not sure how they would resolve the stone thing or deal with the fact that San’s nightly pains disappeared when he met Wee (which is also why im pretty sure Wee’s the real deal), but i don’t know, i feel like they would leave lose threads anyway. now, i've been thinking about this for a while. am i insane or the initial draft of the plot, when the drama had just been announced, was of rael falling in love with eunpyung ? cause i remember so vividly people clarifying in the comment the two would fall in love during the other's divorce .. not that it matters but it kept bothering me and i'm too lazy to scroll down 6k comments
i think we can all agree that this show has amazing cinematography and amazing acting considering it's a thai bl, but in my opinion that's where its pros end. i have not read the novel, nor i plan to, so my opinion is completely based on what i've seen in the series. the characters seemed pretty shallow and way too forgiving, which by itself is not too big of a problem, it's fiction ofc it's not gonna be 100% realistic, the instant it becomes one is when those who watch the series over praise qualities i don't think it possesses. i'm not referring to ratings cause i think it's a very personal thing and it has to be purely based on your feelings on the series, after all we're not professional reviewers and it's all just for fun, i'm speaking on those that get defensive on the series and start insulting those that have a problem with others opinions.
a big con for me was the way they treated the rape scenes; as romantic and erotic. they never fully addressed it as what it is and even if later on kinn apologizes he never calls it by its name. the relationship between vegas and pete too in my opinion is insane, it starts with literal abuse but then somehow it does a 180 and suddenly it's love. like what. i don't wanna bash on those that like the couple but can we come to the mutual unerstanding that their relationship is morally wrong? they did not start on the right foot and even if later they somehow changed and got in a relationship (which, for me, is so unrealistic im so sorry but wtf) there's still something that makes it feel wrong. now i know that the actors are hot i don't have a problem with people enjoying the sex scenes with no context, you do you, but please acknowledge that they are 'problematic'.
now ofc i wasn't expecting roses and flowers, it's a dark themed drama and makes it very clear from the beginning, but it doesn't mean they have to make crimes and abuse seem romantic.
as for the story itself, i feel like it has some pacing problems, especially in later episodes, mostly the last one. the didn't not spend much time on big's death but in the last one when the other bodyguard dies we spend a good 30 seconds seeing him slowly passing away. the whole family situation gets resolved in what 30 minutes ? little to no real explanation about what how when why with the mother. now porsche is suddenly head of the minor family but actually there's not gonna be one for long since the two familys are merging. and kim is gone. WHAT.
also, many argue that the leads are not related, which is true, but kinn's dad calling him nephew? PLEASE if you wanna pull a they not related so it's ok card DON'T CALL HIM YOUR NEPHEW it would be understandable since kinn's father never really treated porsche as one y'know. i feel like they might have tried to let it slide as much as possible, maybe in the novel it was referenced more, my guess comes from one of the last scenes where khun does not call porsche 'his father's nephew'. but man knowing it is so weird. even more beause so many relationships are closely related, not one but two couples are cousins on paper. if they wanted to make porsche's mother involved with the family they could have made an ex lover or a family friend, literally anything so why is she their adopted sister ...
anyways, while i do think the series should get a lot of praises for it's qualities i also think it's good for us to accept and acknowledge it's flaws, since it's not black and white. let's be understanding and be peaceful
My iq is too low to speculate on what happened so i will share my thoughts, and personal experience, after watching todays episode without worrying about what's to come.
Warning ahead for questionable english and a somewhat too personal reflection.
Episode 10 was clearly filler but it wasn't boring or hard to watch. It felt like a very truthful retelling of youth. I related to SW the most; compared to the people i'm surrounded by i don't have many things to complain or worry about, i always end up filling my day with random things to do cause i feel like my life is boring. Every time i hear people talk about youth and their younger days i feel jealous, i know that in the future i will look back and realize that i have no impactful or fun memory from these years. Everyone keeps remind us to make good memories and have fun, but what if i can't? No matter how hard i try, ask around and organize fun things to do with the few friends i somehow managed to make, i always end up feeling frustrated, i don't want to push all the faults to anyone, but i do feel like im surrounding myself with the wrong crowd. I always wonder if i'd be best to be alone instead of hanging out with these so called friends that always make me feel anxious or frustrated. I try to speak out my problems but i feel like i'm making a big deal out of nothing, wasting their time by complaining. The conclusion according to them is always that i am the problem, but the moment i stop struggling to keep up with them and doing my best to organize hang outs, i'm out of the loop. Realizing that they didn't orbit around me was easy but coming to terms with the fact that in case i one day suddenly disappear into thin air they wouldn't care and go on with their life as if nothing, was tough. I know that dramas do not reflect real life but i wish i could get to what SW has, without the good grades, just a fun day on a trip with her friends.
