I agree with you about it being fluff. It's just an easy watch. I'll make sure to watch Boss & Me soon! I think I had already considered watching it but it was before a made this account, so I kinda of forgot about it

Thank you for the suggestion! It seems nice so I'll definitely check it out. I wasn't actually complaining about the intensity of their relationship. As you said, the bar is low. I just felt that it was weird of them to include that scene when they could've just left it out and let the audience decide if they had slept together already or not.
This is really cute and sweet and I really enjoyed how there was no major conflicts between the leads. The trust they had in each other was really nice to see. That said, I was disappointed with how Wei Wei's achievements ended up always being connected to Xiao Nai. Wasn't she supposed to be really smart? I also felt like the last episode was a bit creepy. Are you really telling me that after years of being in a relationship, deciding to live together and being engaged they hadn't slept together? I get that she's shy but that just doesn't happen. And when they finally do it kinda feels like he forces her to, saying something like "I can't wait any more". It made me feel like she had no will in the relationship and that her character traits were reduced to: she's shy and she loves Xiao Nai. Anybody else thinks this too?
I agree...i liked healer but dnt think it deserved so much praise or such a high rating ...i didnt even like live…
I'm curious, was there any specif reason you didn't like Live? I've watched the first few episodes of Stranger but couldn't get into it. I have it on hold because I still plan to eventually finish it. But for some reason, when I was watching it, it felt like the events just didn't connect. I couldn't figure if it was because I wasn't paying enough attention or if the show just made leaps in logic

Regarding the ending, I share the same feelings as a lot of people I have seen commenting. They didn't made clear how the relationship would work out when she eventually grew old and he still looked the same. During the whole show I actually thought that in the end it would be revealed that him loosing his powers was actually a sign that he was becoming human, instead of a sigh that he was dying. I thought that he would figure out that after so many years on earth, he had adapted to the point of becoming human, and that the fact he was exchanging fluids with Chun Song Yi (something he shouldn't do and had always avoided doing) had actually accelerated the process. This would have made the ending less dramatic but I think it would have been way more satisfying. And it would solved the whole age thing. It also meant they could have kids without it being weird. Does anybody else agree?
It's an entertaining show and there are some really cute and funny moments. But I didn't feel the leads had that much chemistry. The age gap is really obvious and for some reason it seems even bigger that what it really is. I think it had to due with the character's styling. Some better clothes, hairdos and makeup would have solved the problem. And seriously, whoever did Jun Ji Hyun's makeup needs to never work as a makeup artist ever again. Her skin always looked oily and dry at the same time and they made her look really plain, when in reality she is beautiful (and her character was supposed to be gorgeous). On the plus side, the special effects were really good and definitely still hold up, so there are some really visually interesting scenes.
It's a good drama but definitely overrated. The story was interesting but the execution was weak, specially in the first few episodes. The editing was really bad, specially in the action and fighting scenes. For some reason they thought a mellow and slow song would be the best choice to put over fast paced fighting scenes where the hero is in no way struggling. There were also some weird closeups and cuts. I remember a specifically bad scene where Healer is fighting a guy while struggling to climb up some stairs. Next scene he managed to put at least two flights of stairs between himself and the bad guy, who suddenly is being backed by ten other men. How did that happen? Nobody knows! I might seem like I'm nitpicking but this happened more than once and c'mon, this show came out in 2014! It's not like the shows that came out before 2010 where it's normal that the directing and editing are outdated. Almost dropped it because of this but I wanted to figure out what all the hype was about. It eventually got better towards the middle, when the story started to pick up. The acting also got better (and thankfully they eventually gave Park Min Young a better hair cut). They also started making better choices with the soundtrack. Contrarily to what a lot of people are saying, I actually enjoyed the ending, I just think they could have shown us more of what happened to the characters. Overall, I think it is worth the watch but it definitely doesn't deserve such high score, specially compared to other shows with similar scores, like Signal and Live.
