I mean, I could be massively off base, but this is just how I feel things might've happened based on what we've seen so far and when I think of previous drama's I've watched.

I'd just like to start seeing some romance sometime soon tbh cos that's what will take this already great drama to the next level for me.

That's what he thinks in his memory, but he also has that trauma we've seen with a woman drowning.

I think his dad had him see a psychiatrist (or someone) to make him believe she was hit by a car, but she actually drowned (whether she committed suicide or was murdered, I'm not certain).

Has anyone else started piecing things together?

I feel like it's going to end up that I-soo's mum killed herself in the bathroom of their house when he was young and that Gang-hyun's dad examined the scene and wasn't willing to cover it up as I-soo's dad will have wanted so his dad created the charges of bribery against him.

Long shot, but based on my EXTENSIVE K-drama experience in this type of drama, that's probably what happened.

The part that annoyed me most with her getting angry at him at the beginning of the episode was when she was saying that they're part of an organisation and he didn't say back "well you haven't exactly been including me" - REALLY BUGGED ME! They've outed this man constantly and now out of nowhere she expects him to just keep her clued up on everything? Make your mind up!

Thanks for explaining, cos now it makes sense. The part I don't get is why is SBS postponing episodes for the Lunar New Year, but other broadcasters like tvN, are showing even MORE episodes than normal for the event? Captivating the King is broadcasting 4 episodes this week! It's just confusing.

nah, there's no reason to. they just have these postponements way too frequently on SBS imo and this week is unfortunately one of them.

I get that, but why change something that was good enough a story to be adapted into a drama? That's what I'm getting at.

Completely agree, hence why I said it makes the show drag. It's just laziness from writers who can't think of something more creative to fill the extra scenes with and they insist on a "relationship" (for lack of a better word) that makes no sense whatsoever. As I said, no man in their right mind would keep pursuing a girl that their so-called "best friend" is interested in still and previously had a relationship with.

Let's be honest, Sang Do is just a shitty friend.

Sang Do does my head in. Bro, it's your friend's ex and girl he still likes, just move on - it ain't ok to like someone your friend has been with and in this case, is still into. This love triangle stuff really annoys me when it's done this badly cos it just DRAAAAAAGS.
