I've watched all 13 episodes, and put up a long reax to ep 13 over at that MDL page. But I've watched literally hundreds of other BLs, so I do have the knowledge to make reasoned comparisons. It helps that I'm a professional novelist and screenwriter, too.

I may be too picky since I am a produced screenwriter in America (I was one of the writers on the Mortal Kombat tv series) but I would never try something that stupid. The showrunner would laugh me out of the room.

Which Shou specifically says in Ep 11. Even the writers know their plot has turned idiotic.

In Ep 11 it's revealed he didn't ask for it. Ep 11, by the way, is even more lame than Ep 10.

I'm starting to come to the conclusion that the writers aren't thinking very much at all, or at least very well.

Agree. Especially since it was Gong in the first place who changed their mutual understanding of their relationship from friends/brothers for 20 years to lovers in a sexual relationship. This just comes across as a screenwriter groping for a plot twist to justify the traditional Thai BL trope of everything going to hell for the MCs in ep 10 or 11. Makes no sense whatsoever, and it's gonna take some REALLY good writing to make me believe in their reunion in Ep 12. If they do. If they don't, then the whole series goes down the toilet, at least for me.

Fluke is just an enormously good actor, and a huge success despite being gay and out in RL. Ohm just keeps getting better. At the moment he's right up there with Singto's level of professionalism, but with a bit more natural talent, I think.

When they combined as a ship in Until We Meet Again, they were a major reason that series is one of the three best BLs ever made (Earth is the other reason) - along with I Told Sunset About You and Make Our Days Count. (See the end of the Director's Cut of the movie version of Life, Love on the Line for a sprig of hope for Hao Ting and Xi Gu.)

Ohm/Singto too. Ohm does the best coming out to mom scene ever in BL in He's Coming to Me.

I'm gonna at least take a shot at anything with Ohm/Fluke as the MC/Ship.

Is there some way to search just your lists for a single BL? Would make my life easier. You're my go to reviewer for BL.
