yess agreed, it's a side of the same coin. Even the parents, as annoying as they are, have their own plotlines and purpose. For me the writers did quite a good job in fleshing out the side characters.

I think "filler" would be appropriate if you think of everyone around FL and ML as side characters. They are, but they have their own life and story with purpose and message. So I don't mind about those stories at all. I even want more😂
