Just like everyone else I'm breathless... This drama... I've no words to describe how amazing it is. Crying my eyes out... I don't know how to get over it.. The creators of Mr. Sunshine really made a masterpiece.
Most historical dramas that depict Japanese occupation of Korea/China do. There is so much Anti-Japanese sentiment…
Japanese in this drama and of course in real life at that time, were just like soviets to Baltic countries, also to Ukraine and more countries. Google it, please, especially what happened in Lithuania - partisan war, deportations and killings. Also holodomor in Ukraine. I cried during this drama so much, because it really reminds me of what soviets did to my country Lithuania. It makes me so sad that most people don't know about soviet crimes (of course, I'm not saying that Nazi weren't terrible, because they were, but soviets were really terrible too). In Lithuania, you probably wouldn't find a family which wasn't affected by soviet rule.
I hate Lee Wan-sik and the Japanese so much in this drama... They're the worst... Episodes 19 and 20 were just wow. Breath-taking! Also, Koreans fighting against Japanese kinda remind me of my country's history - Lithuanian partisans fighting in guerrilla war against Soviets (google it ^_^)
Agh I just can't wait for more episodes <3 Definitely one of the best dramas I've ever seen.
Wow! This was such an amazing drama! The storyline is really interesting, the acting was breath-taking! It has been such a long time since I last saw any drama that would be as good as this one. MUST-WATCH! Probably the best drama of 2018 for me.
I'm studying medicine and I first got interested in it few years ago after watching some medical K-dramas so I can really relate to your experience :) Of course it wasn't the only or the main factor why I got into med school, but the interest started from dramas. And of course I did a lot of research and thought about it a lot before actually studying it :)
Thanks for this nice article :) Good luck to you! Fighting ~
