Overall I had a good time. I don't think that they stuck the landing as much as I would have wished following ep 9, but I still enjoyed myself.
The ending was fun. I both was surprised to see Junior and somehow completely unsurprised at all. Whether they're serious about teasing a sequel I think it was a good end - Methas deserves a little love too. Poor thing has been the only adult in the room for a long time (he was probably so relieved when Punn showed up to take over Ramil, at least lol).
Kay and Barcode were great, and I am going to be different (as usual lol) and say that I think Prem did really well too. I think that people are mistaking reserved for passionless or wooden, but I've seen wooden and this ain't it. Plus Punn loosens up bit by bit as he lets himself love Ramil and open up to him and Pokpong, and at the end he's actively happy and smiling all over the place. I was impressed by how relaxed both he and Jett were in their final scene.
I haven't started it yet but I've seen people saying BounPrem chemistry is much better in UWMA and Between Us…
People are whining because they want heavy make out scenes, imo.
The chemistry is fine but it's supposed to be more romantic. Not saying you can't be romantic and hot & heavy but also, that's clearly not the vibe they were going for. It's fine if that's not something some people are into but that doesn't lessen their chemistry, lol.
As always, I say watch a bit and make up your own mind. MDL can be worse than Twitter sometimes for how people just want to hate everything.
If he impressed you in this show you have to watch him in Dead Friend Forever. He was really, really good. That…
So that's the funny thing. I HAVE seen DFF (I love horror so anything even close to it I will watch). Kinnporsche too. I may have to rewatch the first one and pay better attention to him.
Maybe i am just dumb like how is affecting his memories affecting the actual past?? Did i miss something about…
You're not missing a thing, it's time travel stuff.
The past happened the way it did because Ramil went back and gave Punn those memories. IF he had never gone back none of it would have happened. And of course Ramil only went back through Punn's memories to create those BECAUSE they happened. Whee. I think that Punn's constant dreams of Ramil before they ever met were his brain trying to process these memories that hadn't happened, and the only way to do that without driving him insane would be to make them dreams.
This ep was fun and set us up nicely to go haring into the climax/end.
Dunk just has great vampire aesthetic, especially for this show. I can't find it in myself to be bothered by the casting, and I don't think he did a bad job in the whole two minutes of screentime he had. I definitely think people don't give him enough credit for all the ways he's improved since the first time I saw him. I like that he's clearly *trying* to get better, and you can see that. Genuinely I do think that some people will never ever ever get past the admittedly awful acting of yore but I can see his improvement and appreciate it,
The vampires slowly collecting more humans is amusing me. I feel like eventually we're gonna see Elise pop over to the hotel all "so Jett found out I helped Methas and blew a fuse, need to lie low," and Methas will be quietly exasperated while everyone else is like "sure! we've got rooms!"
Really liked Pokpong saying he just wanted to be mad at everyone. Relatable. Honestly he's the youngest character but he's got one of the best heads on his shoulders.
Love Methas and his lack of give a crap these days. Him telling Pong to learn to deal with the vampires cracked me up, especially when contrasted with Mekhin's much calmer, more understanding approach. I love Mark in this role.
Ramil and Punn continue to be the most extra duo while one of them pretends not to be. I know Ramil slipping into Punn's head the way he is will go wrong somehow, even if the preview hadn't shown it I'd know it, but I respect Punn not giving a crap because he needs this all to stop. Everyone but Jett, Ciar, and maybe possibly faking being in a coma Feratu are losing their taste for this game.
Speaking of Ciar..he still strikes me as someone acting out because he's not getting enough attention. So much of his ire is wrapped up in Ramil choosing Punn over him, and I think Punn being part of the group that is hunting them all down is only a part of his problem. I get his anger but the way he's going about it and the things he keeps saying are what makes me feel like this is still an extended tantrum. It's amusing me though so I'm not mad about it.
Jett continues to get more and more crazy eyed and I am here for it. I really like Kay as an actor, I keep meaning to check out more of his stuff but I keep not getting around to it. Any recs to start (I have seen HSF and now this)? I like the way he plays Jett, too, like the eyes are crazy but he's still managing to sound mostly coherent and controlled, you can understand why people would still follow him. I'd love to see something really nuts from him going forward. And I kind of want him to have a big monologue where he gets to chew all the scenery.

Personally I'm happy with this. I'm really hoping that people don't turn the comments into wars about who is worst like they did with OF.
ahem. Sorry, got excited.
Oh well. I guess I'll just hope that it gets fixed by ep 12. πππ
