I find it interesting that Healer is on here because I've always interpreted it as an extremely popular and well-liked drama, but maybe that's just me?
I'm currently watching this and once you get past the cringey first episode, it becomes such a good easy watch! Some of the plots are a little bit unbelievable but that's to be expected with this type of Chinese web drama I think. I love seeing QiLu clearly developing feelings and trying to protect her while still keeping his "cold" exterior (although I do think he goes a bit far sometimes)
And the mom is HILARIOUS! So refreshing to see such a genuinely sweet, caring, and funny mom to the rich heir!
I've only seen up through episode 10 but I'm excited to see more of the antics and romance developing!
previous episode, i was shipping her with second lead guy..now i choose han kyul :)
Yeah she's a senior in HS so age 19 makes more sense and I'm guessing they'll have her age up to 20. There's also an easter egg for Han Gyul's age in ep 4. When he listened to his dads all taped titled "Han Gyul come out of mommy's belly" it was dated with the year 1994 which means he's probably 22/23 and we know that Chan Young is younger than him bc he calls Han Gyul hyung so the age difference isn't that great... definitely not compared to Goblin
I don't think the pacing of this drama was for everyone, but I really enjoyed it overall. It could be slow at some parts but I think every scene had purpose and every scene made me feel something.
The chemistry between Shin Min Ah and Lee Je Hoon was off the charts. I think this is some of the best couple chemistry I've ever seen in a drama. At first, I wasn't sure if So Joon would grow on me as a character but he did and I really loved his development... it was especially meaningful and evident in this last episode.
This big downfall for me was Song Ma Rin's characterization. She started out as a fiesty and foward girl but ended up just becoming So Joon's wife... I wish she would have had a more active role in the story and had the opportunity to develop the way he had. However, Shin Min Ah did amazing with the character she was given.
Honestly, I think this drama deserved better than the ratings it got (never getting past 2%??? How ridiculous). It wasn't perfect by any means but it was really good in my opinion. The casting was amazing and the story was moving and heartfelt.
I was super excited for this when it was announced and I was not disappointed at all.
Jang Hye Sung from "I Hear Your Voice" is one of the first characters that pop into my mind when I think…
I was focusing on characters from more recent (2016-2017) dramas in my article but I totally agree with you about Hye Sung and Yeong Shin (I haven't seen scent of a woman)! They are two of the leads from two of my favorite dramas and a lot of the reason I love their dramas so much was because of them! Thank you for your comment :)
I was really looking forward to Sung Kyung :( but I will watch for Chang Wook! Plus, the same screenwriter as I Remember You so I think it will be good!
It's funny how people in this drama are so delusional. Both his girlfriend and his best friend are always…
Also I feel like once they realized who he was putting first and why, they both completely understand. When Ro Woon was upset that he left her, she didn't know why or who for just that she was leaving. But after she found out why she never help it against him...
