Okay so it's 6am and i stayed up all night to finish the last 4 episodes. All i can say is I LOVED IT. 8.5 is the highest of all "lakorns" I have seen.
(Higher than that is Hormones which i gave a 9 but it's a "series" so it's by cable network and has less Thai-ness and are aimed towards smaller group of audience which is the teens and they have better production value than lakorns -- dramas by national networks)
CUBIC gets 10/10 for the story department from me. If u love mafia falling in love with a normal woman, this is the epitome! U will get a smart and strong-willed (not physically strong) female lead here whose character affects 90% of my judgement. The story is well written because she is supposedly a normal high school girl who's smart enough to help the mafia boss strikes deals with other people. (A bit over-the-top ofcourse but seriously it's epic and smooth) I heard it's based on a best-selling novel in thailand.
Acting is 7/10. Lead girl is great but i feel like the production team makes her overact to look like a high school kid sometimes (the actress was 23 at the time of shooting). The lead guy is a stiff wooden stick but his character is also stiff. Only some occasions he has to show hurt expressions when he gets shot, that is when he looks extremely awkward and NEEDS ACTING CLASS ASAP. He's still a handsome guy worth looking at for 16 episodes (2 hours each ep)
The bodyguard is HOT and he's a veteran actor.
Production kinda sucks so much. Bad cinematography with lots of zooming in to show actors' nostrils (WHY) and camera wanders a lot like a home video. Nah, not THAT bad but you need to get used to Thai lakorns. Can't expect them to be as good as Kdramas, can we?
Music is repetitive. They seem to have only 2 OSTs but hey those two songs are actually good.
Don't forget to watch on 1.25x or 1.5x speed (or 2x speed if u're okay with reading subs) because everything is slow in here. I've mentioned this before. They take so long to walk, think, stare at each other before saying something etc. Takes forever to zoom in and out too LOL.
I still insist that u watch this for the story. The romance and chemistry is FIRE.
Its cute and worth bingewatching but i don't see the point of having so many episodes. They get into each incident twist & turn in detail too much. But Lead couple is very sweet!

I enjoyed this one and loved kim hee sun but its not something i would want to watch again because it didn't have much impact on me. I love how they bring issues about bullying to drama but actually this was a bit too dark for enjoyment. the poster completely fooled me! I gave this one 8.0
somehow i dont think she's pretty but she's very charming! i see her in cubic and some scenes or angles she looks really sweet but like below comment she's so fun and her acting is really good. i just think CUBIC team made her overact a lot, she would do really well with good guidance

How to enjoy this drama: i discovered that MAYBE the clips im watching on youtube is really slowed down maybe the uploader tried to alter the clip to avoid copyright? if u watch at 1.25x speed it will look like normal speed. watch on 1.5x speed and u'll still enjoy and read subs in time! sometimes i watch on 2x speed just to digest story faster because everything is slow in this drama. it takes forever for them to think or walk around. they talk in slowmotion (bad acting detected) and it takes forever to zoom in and out.
Lead female is strong and super smart and bright, lead male is hot, lead male's bodyguard is hot!

I just realized that thai drama episodes are long, like- 2 hours long so after all the time i spent i'm still on episode 4 *_* It's real addicting the leads have good chemistry, and he's low-key tsundere!
Side characters like his bodyguard and even his driver are so damn cute lololol
