Bright just hit 3M followers on IG and is now amongst the 20 most followed Thai male celebrities. Win should join him there by the end of the series, as I expect him to hit 3M mark by then (with Bright likely hitting 4M).
Bright is without a doubt GMMTV's biggest male star since Push.
I like your pick of Bright for the lead of Dao Ming Si. He's definitely got the look for the character and from…
Sarawat is his first BL role actually. All his previous roles are heterosexual, but he's mostly relegated to supporting or guest roles. The only times he did a main leading man role were for "I Sea U" (with Pattie) and "Love Songs Love Series".
I'm sure he'll be considered; he's literally the hottest GMMTV prized jewel at the moment. (Unless by some twist of fate he gets lured to move to another production company or even a network. I hope he won't, at least for the next couple of years.)
This show is just a gift that keeps on giving (a thread).
- This is the fastest show to reach 100M views in Line TV Thailand. (https://www.instagram.com/p/B_MS0E3gJLf/) - All the uploaded episodes in YouTube have at least 90M views in total. - "Kan Goo" MV has 12M views in YouTube. It is Top 10 in Spotify Thailand, and is in the Spotify Trending chart in 5 countries. - Scrubb songs are placing in Spotify Thailand charts, considering many of those featured in the series are at least 10 years old. - Bright and Win's Live at Lunch appearance in GMMTV YouTube channel have all reached at least 900K views, considering some of them don't even have English subs yet.
- This is now GMM25's 3rd highest-rating 2020 drama (just behind "Nuer Nai" and "Kit Hot Tai Baan", which are both primetime lakorns of the said channel). This is a huge feat considering this is a Friday late night series, the audience isn't really catered for mainstream (GMMTV + BL), and GMM25 has a small audience as it's just #10 in terms of network ratings. Massive IG follower growth for the cast
- Bright with almost 3M followers, the most followed artist under GMMTV camp. (https://socialblade.com/instagram/user/bbrightvc/monthly) This month alone, almost all his posts have at least 1M likes. His recent cover of the song "I Love You 3000" got a "stamp of approval" from 88Rising, the producer of the said song. 88Rising is responsible for breaking in some Asian artists (like Joji, Rich Brian) into US shores.
- Win with 2M followers attained just today, considering he probably had only 100K followers (CMIIW) at the start of the show
- Gunsmile (Boss) and Frank (Phukong) have 700K followers each - Toptap (Type) has 600K, Love (Pear) has almost 600K - Mike (Man) has 500K - Drake (Mil) and Gun (Green) have 400K - Guy (Dim) has 300K, JJ (Ohm) has almost 300K - Khaotungg (Fong) has 200K - Pluempong (Peuk/Phuak) has 100K - Film (Earn) will have 100K followers soon
I've seen snippets of this over the weekend, as I'm curious about Bright's acting here. Hmmm, at least he's a key secondary character here, as Pearwah was his sister.
After having read about his life story - family life and his beginnings in the entertainment industry, all the more that I admire him. I really hope he does succeed in this industry, regardless on what direction he'll decide to pursue after.
Man, this guy can still go a long way in terms of acting, but he can sing well (his cover of "I Love You 3000" in IG got a stamp of approval from 88Rising, the recording company that produced the song) and he's got experience in hosting and modelling and photography.
It occurred to me that this is a Ugly Duckling Don't mini-reunion. They just need Victor here. Apple and Mild who used to be friends in Don't are now rivals here haha.
GMMTV, if you can't assure us that Mek will have another leading man role in the future, can you at least bring back his character in "The Gifted Graduation" (coz I'm sure he's not yet dead and after all he's the "root" of Pang's quest)?
And once and for all give him a BL moment with Khru Pom/Victor?
(Mild is sooo gonna be SHOOKDT that her 2 former leading men could end up together in another series 55555.)
I miss watching his act on drama. But I wonder why he decreases his role on drama is may be because now he concerns…
I think he also has his own business(es). But yeah, I want him as a leading man. He may not be the strongest when it comes to acting, but he has improved over time and he certainly has that "charm" from the get go. Especially when he did Hawk in "U Prince", and when he works with Mild.
Justice for Gunsmile...IF it makes you feel better, GMM was recently called out by a lot of fan for their treatment…
To be fair, some of these actors are doing dramas not necessarily with GMMTV. Gunsmile for instance just finished a primetime drama with GMM25 last month ("Nang Sao 18 Mongkut"). He played a major villain role there.
It helps that both GMM25 and GMMTV have the same big boss now (Tha Sataporn became the CEO of GMM25 late 2018), that's why GMMTV actors have more opportunities to be known outside the usual teen/young adult audience. And at the same time improve their craft, as they can't be stuck with the same acting mold forever.
There'll be more GMMTV actors acting in regular lakorns soon - like Lee, Joss (who alread hasy one successful drama under his belt - "Game Rak Ao Keun"), Mook (She did 2 successful dramas last year, that's why she laid low with GMMTV projects), Off, Aye, Mond, Toy (He's already doing lakorns even before working with GMMTV), etc. Gives me an idea, I'll try to write an article or post a list regarding this. =)

And I really admire the dedication he's shown to portray the role of Tine.

And nice debut for Jamie as a lead actress. She managed to shed her villainous image that formed in my head hehe.
