They are following the novel's plot almost 100%... Everything that seems off was included in the novel too...
It's a cute story if you can exclude the rape scence ... And the author has many followers... That's where the companies relay on... Have you watched "my stand in" ? It's from the same author as this one... Check it here... It was loved !! 😑😑 ( Although I quite liked this one -except the rape scence- I could not stand " my stand in"

I did not justify anything.. I just said that they are following the novel... The script is not based on the screenwriters will... And they have already made changes .. I have read the novel .. the drama is softer than the novel... The rape scence was terrible ... This author needs to stop using toxic relationships to attract audience...
I see where you're coming from, and I agree to an extent. Viewing the drama as a fictional story can help in separating…
Yes I have read the novel... The rape scence took place in the middle of the first novel ... Bai went back to Gu hai and then the rest of the story was really good... The rape was a bad choice of the author ... Guhai's character was not violent but author twisted the character for no justified reason ... And then yes they were separated for 8 years where the second novel begins...

You remember wrong... They were separated for 2 months 😭😂 Bai went back to Gu hai extremely fast ... I don't know what more to say about these kind of dramas... They are interesting but the violent part could have been eliminated...
Perhaps that's not what you originally meant to imply here, but I believe it's a bit odd to assume those who don't…
Also I did not attack anyone... I just gave my personal pov and some of my thoughts ... Of course it's good to have different opinions but my first post was not about that .. maybe you did not get exactly what I meant... All you write above are 100% true ( based on my believes) but I my post was not targeting this group of people..
BL as a genre caters primarily to an audience like me these days - so we see less and less shows like this and…
I don't know how true is this since all the author's novels are based on toxic relationships... 🤔🤔 It's not about the period it's about the author's style
i understand what you mean, and i try to do that with most things i watch (especially as someone who is in theatre…
Yes totally agree... Here starts another discussion based on why these kind of novels were accepted by the audience from the beginning... But since there are out and made in live action movies then we should try either to reject them totally or try to separate the negative aspect and focus on the positive ones...

I was just implying to try and watch the drama without negative thoughts because it's a fiction... I didn't mean to force anyone to watch it if doesnt want to... Mostly it was for the people who were wavering between watching it and not... The ones who hate it will not agree with my comment anyway... Also yes of course there some people in here ( and anywhere else) who can't separate fiction from reality because of lack of life experience and that's acceptable and normal ... And that's another topic of discussion not so relevant to my first comment ... 😁

What do you mean by "limited " sa novel? If you meant that it's only one scene then the same goes for this drama... After that scence ( which is not justifiable but anyway) Huei becomes really aware of his behavior and does everything to gain Xiabao's love back... So it's not about limited it's about the existence of any violent scence...

Yes I agree about the author... I don't like the rest of her novels because of her abusive topics but this one is not so hard to watch ... Like " addicted heroin" .. there is one abusive scence and the rest is amusing... We are grown ups we can separate fiction from reality (when there is a limit of bad actions of course)... It's not a drama for underage people but only for over 18 ( I would recommended over 21) just because we are supposed to distinguish reality from fiction ...
For those who claim that can not stand the sa topic of this series, (although I also oppose to any kind of abusive relationship), I would suggest to face the drama as a fiction story as it is... The goal of the author is to show how an unloved soul like Huei turned to a person who loved someone completely and without limits ... This kind of love usually does not exist in real world ... None abusive person turns to a lovely one... But here this is what is going to happen... It's a fiction... Also don't forget that even though "addicted heroin" had a heeelll worse sa scence was loved by the audience only because the ml was totally devoted to his love one ( after raping him) ... So just focus on the romance and try not to take the abusive side of the character seriously ..... It's fiction 100%... He is a poor soul who will be saved by his love... At least that's what the author tries to show us... It's a cute story ( after a while) try to continue and watch it...
... And then yes they were separated for 8 years where the second novel begins...
