I love this drama so much! Can anyone give me some advice on a Japanese drama? I've only watched 2 so far…
I recommend other shows of the female lead in this TV Series (Aragaki Yui) such as Soratobu Kouhoushitsu (my favorite tv series that Aragaki Yui stars in), Zenkai Girl (feel-good), My Boss My Hero (funny), and Smile.
Some of my other top picks:
Nobuta Wo Produce- my favorite---warning though, it starts slow. For a relaxing time, Osozaki no Himawari. For a hilarious time, watch Hana Kimi 2007 version.
If you want suspense Bloody Monday and Hanzawa Naoki are nail-biters. :)
When I read the synopsis, I thought this will be dull. But,I gave it a try because of Ikuta Toma hehe. When I watched this, it never got boring. What a relaxing j-drama. What a beautiful town. Props to the creators, the music composer, andthe cast. <3
Thank you for the list. I agree with the ones I've watched already. I will watch the rest that I haven't watched.
I would recommend for romance and life I am seriously pining over Soratobu Kouhoushitsu now. For romcoms, Zenkai Girl, My Boss My Hero and Hana Kimi (even though it's too ridiculous but it's too funny and light hehe). My favorite overall is Nobuta Wo Produce, which is a show about friendship.
For thrillers and suspense, Liar Game, Ikebukuro West Gate Park, and Bloody Monday are the best!
Felt like watching Heroes, and X-Men with a detective twist. I found this show powerful and scary. Scary, in a sense that I was scared for the lead characters. This one's a winner!
My first Asian drama was Meteor Garden. It aired in my country and it was a hit. Then, some other Taiwanese dramas. Full House aired in my country so I watched it. For some reason, my 2 high school friends were persuading me to watch Hana Yori Dango Season 1 and Gokusen 1. I watched them for a bit. But stopped. Then another high school friend of mine made me watch Hana Kimi with her, and I was hooked. Then on, I became addicted to J-dramas and finished watching Hana Yori Dango, and some Gokusen seasons. This year I started watching K-dramas again. And I've noticed that there were differences with K-drama and J-drama. Some episodes of the K-drama were a bit dragging because they were too long in minutes and episodes. But, I must say they are still good dramas. I still have to say J-drama is my favorite.
