Also people complaining about the kiss, I mean the whole thing was kind of right on the nose. Kuea didn’t think…
The fact that you have the privilege to speak your thoughts is a good thing, and thinking that “people with a different opinion from yours” shouldn’t speak their minds is indeed odd. Having criticism to show and discuss is healthy, and if you cannot tolerate so, it means you are not prone to embrace diversity. On the contrary, MDL users that won’t vibe with CP are well aware why people enjoy this show, but still has some critiques to add in the comment section due to either personal taste and/or logical analysis — more specifics: ethics. I don’t speak for you, but if my roommate is spying me using secret cameras and eventually she spots my snack hidings I’ll be upset (by the fact that she’s using cameras I don’t know she installed). If we can spend a few moments even on the scrip, there is this awful idea that a guy should hide the hobbies he’s passionate about... because these are labelled by an uneducated writer as “naughty”. Riding motorcycles is naughty? Being passionate about music is naughty? Forcing your partner living together after he doesn’t want to marry you anymore is romantic? You get my point.
Let people commenting, and don’t get offended, the first step for a growing experience is to accept others’ opinions without being sulky ❤️
I was on Discord watching it with my GF's and we were all WTF. It was just...bad. In so many ways. And I've consistently…
I personally don't think that Zee is a "gifted" actor, if not that the said gift he has a beautiful face - but acting-wise it's not my taste, and his visual cannot make up for Cutie Pie's poor script writing
I don’t know what to say honestly... I was online on discord with my friend that watched the latest episode of this series, and I’m embarrassed to say the following.
I remembered Zee’s acting was decent, but in this series he looks so stiff - more than in Why r U. New and him seem to be so awkward acting their parts. I feel so sorry to be that redundant, but the chemistry everyone are experiencing during the watching is not showing in front of my sight.
At episode 6 they dropped a kiss, but it was so out of context. In my native language there is a term that is not translatable in english: but these latest scene is what i would’ve called “il contentino” short for straightforward fanservice - just for feeding the audience and literally let them stop talking (since their mouths are busy chewing the content - it’s a metaphor)
I believe Lian already knew about Kuea's true nature, which is why he called him Annabelle. Lian starts trying…
In my opinion we shouldn't rely religiously on the novel. I don't like when people uses the card "but in the novel" THIS is not the novel, is a show INSPIRED by a novel, and the whole "background" is not meant to be revealed soon - or rather in a chronological order like everyone expects. My friend is translating me the novel on phone calls and I'm still not vibing with it. It's just my perspective, and others can disagree and it's totally fine, but overall in my opinion Cutie Pie is not a good series. For now I'll drop it, but maybe when the episodes will be out I'll try to catch up ^^
Hope I won't get negative feedback, but I feel to say my opinion. When people on twitter recommend this series I was curious. The 1st episode was actually so cute and funny! But after that since episode 5 I have to say it's a downward situation *for me*. I got bored so quickly, and the side story is not entertain me at all.
Maybe it's because a lot of things will be revealed later, but I don't find cute nor funny nor romantic at all the fact that Lian started to treat well Kuea only after discover that he is Kirin (the mysterious persona Lian has a crush on), while Kuea was just as nice as possible. Ok, Kuea had a gimmik: he tried to be as polite and sub in order to be likeable for Lian... but why Lian would be unimpressed by his behaviour in the first place? Why being a member of a band a bad thing? Why playing the drum is a "rebellious" thing to hide from his loved one? And motorcycling? I'm soooooo curious to read the books, I'll buy them and make an idea on what these writers thinks lol
TBH I'm not vibing with this series, and I don't wanna swim against the tide just because the show is popular... I chose to watch it because it has a great resonance, but I don't feel it's as good as the viewers would have me believe.
I have binge watched the eps released so far and I noticed something - really silly, but whatever, it's just me rambling;
I have good vibes with Dan, I don't think he's the "bad" guy for some reasons: first, he is indeed a social painter, and even if what he's doing is art, he commits acts of vandalism (against the governament & the police) second, he voluntarily pointed his own gun to his temple after Sean's delirium. I personally think that if Dan is somehow involved with Tawi, he wouldn't do something this symbolic: Sean said "a life for a life" and in that moment induced Dan to commit suic!de and Dan was kind of prone to do that if not interrupted by Yok.
In the latest preview we can see Sean, White, Yok and Gram in the van, but it isn't shown Gumpa! Sean talked about a traitor... well, in the very first episode, when White followed Todd into Black's house, Todd showed him a photo of the gang member: Gram, Yok & Sean (he even listed their faculties, so he was *really* informed) but he didn't mentioned Gumpa... and when White, disguised as Black, first met Gumpa he thought "now, who is this guy?". Today Gumpa revealed that he knew that White wasn't Black. My theory is that -maybe- Gumpa and Todd knew each other and --maybe-- they could be involved into something I cannot think about ^^"
I like to think outside of the box, and I might be wrong, but today was sooooooo inspiring and the interaction White/Black and White/Gang members were so cute <3
I saw people fighting down below and I want to say something, this is not a place for such toxcity. The constant…
Thank You! I didn’t wanted to make a fuss yesterday, but I was upset. My comment wasn’t about her quitting this comment section, but rather to chill and enjoy with the theories...
Again, she literally spoiled what was happening in ep. 10 on 9th’s episode week, I don’t know where she takes the infos, but it was frustrating; even because she used the “spoiler” allert just for replying with monosyllabic “yes/no”.
I didn’t say you should stop, but rather to behave. Spoilers are meant to chat over latests episodes without ruining new viewers’ experience. It’s not the first time you do this. On 10th episode’s week you spoiled how the gang was attacked and White rescued Sean, this without knowing any context: neither scene in the preview lead to think over an attack and you managed to tell the audience something over episodes that haven’t been released. You f*cking spoiled the ending, and I wonder why.
I don’t care what your sources are, you could have a healthy chat with users with theories without being invasive. Actually you are invasive, and my pure suggestion is to chill over the show without ruining the experience of the “what’s next?”
This is not a negative comment, but I personally think that Gram's character is a little neglected. I was impressed by this character the first time it appeared in 1st episode!!
He was literally the first gang member White (disguised as Black) met, and apparently I made up a house of cards over him like Gram would've been some sort of important second lead... I'm so sad that now he's like the one pining over Black's exgirlfriend, I'm wondering what type of character they build on him.
Even during ep 10's garage attack he didn't react as much as Yok and Gumpa and even Dan! Gram is the third character listed, so I thought he would've been more useful during the story. And that's a shame because Mond seems to be a very good actor :(

I just hope she’ll enjoy the show nevertheless.

Also, I suggest a tea or a chamomile 🍵

Btw I'm thrilled for ep 12! ^^
