There is a one year time jump though. The ML has to go abroad for training and medical reasons for a year. But they video called every day at 8 PM. ML cried and asked his friend for protecting her because of a robbery near the work place of the FL. They get married (No wedding is shown) and FL is pregnant in the end.

I like romance in thriller dramas. The reason is it adds more tension to the drama because we have one more end goal to look forward to. For me a little side romance doesn't distract the main plot. In the drama Tunnel the relationship of the ML with his wife has a very minor screen time but was very important to the story. Same in the case of Train and Lawless lawyer. The side romance added an extra layer of tension to the thriller storyline. Also there is one more reason I like thriller with romantic side plot. Unlike usual Rom-Coms they won't be trying to create tension by having a love triangle, family dispute, or other cliches tropes. It is just my opinion. I would be little more happy if there is even a slight hint of romance in this drama.

I didn't like the ML at first either. He was so arrogant towards FL and others. But it was later revealed that he himself is a patient and it was the FL who helped him to get himself out of the trauma he suffered when he was 10 years old. So even though his actions were not justifiable, it was understandable.
I really loved this drama. I cried like a baby watching this drama. What is more important about this drama is that it teaches you very important life lessons. Seriously I would recommend this drama for the married couples to watch together.
