So I replayed the "Gallery Scene" like 4 times hahaha because I was kinda confused. But I think the whole dialogue showed us the MC's deep-longing for the FL. When asked the question "What are you thinking during that time ?" All that time he was drawing lone buildings can be subjected to himself especially when he responded to that question with "She was always there" He just imagines it to complete himself temporarily and waits for the exact time that someone would come pick him up (a crowded painting) and alas with mostly romcom kdramas It happened at the last part he said "Ill spend my time loving Yeon-Su" then it lights-up suddenly because He knows that "Yeon-Su was his color/light that would complete it or should I say him ?".
Man I am so happy that CWS did this drama especially a romcom genre cause there is something about him doing romcoms like Hogu's Love and even that bromance one (boy next door) hahaha that would really suck you into it.
