Nah, not cliché. I mean, who's anyone to judge what inspires someone one? This may sound silly, but I watch dramas because they make me feel something, you know? So if they make me feel anything, happy, sad, excited that's how I deem in a good drama. Cause, in my opinion, what is the point of a show if not to inspire emotion in the viewer? So if one show makes one person happy, then so be it. One litres of tears didn't do it so much for me though. Little Mom Scandal was a life changer for me~ I love that drama so much. Plus it's so short which makes it watchable for even busy people >.<

Mainly right now all I really care about is learning Korean.

Once I reach a certain proficiency, though, I would like to start learning another language. I was thinking maybe Hindi or Japanese, but I'm not sure. Also, I know a decent amount of Spanish, so I could continue with that.

I get that. I mean, I don't want to watch movies like inception all the time >.< Some thing are best watched and enjoyed for the simple reason that they make us happy~ I mean, that's all that's really important. ^^

It's funny that you say your drama habits are like how you live. If my drama habits were like how I lived.... I guess I'm someone who gets random spurts of inspiration haha. So my drama watching would be categorized by times of lots of random drama watching and then a hiatus. Or maybe, watching many similar dramas and then suddenly watching something totally different. Both are totally me XD


I'll definitely check those out. I've heard of The Man From Nowhere quite a few times, but haven't checked it out yet.

To be honest, I don't think I've discovered my favorite drama genre yet. :p I watch mainly rom-coms, but I don't know if I would say they're my favorite.

I like pretty much all dramas, but only certain dramas within each drama :P I'm really interested in psychology, so when dramas have a psychology element its really interested. I always think about the actions of characters, and the psychology behind it, so when drama makes make the effort to think of the actual brain working behind a person, influencing their actions, I think it just makes the drama so much more realistic and captivating >.<

I'll have to watch more tdramas to figure out my opinion on them.

Ah, yes. The crucible was so good. I totally understand what you mean by it being fascinating. It's crazy that it's based on true events.

I totally understand that. If I didn't have Korean as a class, I probably would know so little. It would be so hard to learn during a set of full classes while trying to keep at least an inkling of a social life and get some sleep.

But I'm so jealous. That you're bilingual. I never really had the opportunity to learn a second language, but it's my biggest dream to be able to fluently learn another language >.< Which language do you dream & think in? >.<

Oooh, that seems tough. From my perspective. But I guess as a science major, you'd probably enjoy those classes a lot more than I would >.<

This semester I'm taking Korean Beginner 2nd class, Intro to Linguistics, Language and Formal Reasoning, and Rhetoric. A very language intensive semester, haha.

As for Korean, even though for me it can be incredibly difficult sometimes, its also really enjoyable.

Are you learning any languages right now?

I think its because, for me, what I consider good japanese dramas have a really awesome psychological aspect, which I don't find in Korean dramas as much. Like Love Shuffle or Last Friends~ An exception to this is Little Mom Scandal, though. A super awesome Korean drama, that I think gives a good look into the human psyche. >.< But, ultimately I think I'm more biased towards Korean dramas, maybe because my first drama was Korean. & like you said, both countries have their awesome stuff. For me, I have watched a seriously small amount of Taiwanese stuff, though. I'm not really sure why. Maybe because they're longer? :p


& It was 2007~2008ish? I'm not totally sure. It was sometime when I was in middle school though. & I literally was alone in dramaland forever, lol. I knew no one who liked Dramas until I indoctrinated some friends in High School, ???

Oh, my gosh 12 assignments. I can't even imagine. This semester I got really lucky, and my classes aren't too demanding. How many classes do you take?

For me, it is 8:13 AM. I have a my korean class in 5 hours. Today we have a test. Which I did study for, but I need to finish my essay & practice my speaking assignment for today, still >.< I haven't slept yet, lol. I'm like, whyyyyy did I do this to myself?

I've heard really awesome things about "You Who Came from the Stars." I'm being persuaded to watch it. How do you like it, so far?

Right now I'm watching Last Cinderella. I only have one episode left. And I'm almost done Flower Boy Next Door, too. Plus I'm in the middle of Panda & Hedgehog, Miss Ripley, Love Around, and Cheongdamdong Alice, but I wouldn't exactly say I'm watching them right now >.< If you know what I mean.
