Yes the plot, production and co stars are very important. I've watched TLP for XZ but it was not enjoyable. I struggled to finish it.
On the other hand, I actually did not like YZ before LUF. The story and her performance won me over. Of cos not forgetting her 4 MLs. Hahah

Imagine if XZ wasn't in those shows, they would be doing a lot worse. 😅😅
YangZi is surprisingly popular in China cos she started out as a child star and everyone knows her.

Same here..i never really liked YangZi cos she's not like reba level pretty. (Sorry i mainly go for looks. Hahahah)I havent seen her dramas but in LYF, she really impressed me with her acting.

By the way, it is just me who thinks his photo on MDL is not very flattering?

Maybe i will give it another try. I watched it when just starting out on dramas. Maybe it was didis white hair or cgi of the female lead turning into a bird or something, i dropped it very fast. But i may go have a look at DW now. Haha

I have the opposite problem. I watch on Chinese sites and don't know the English titles. So it's very hard to keep up with discussions on MDL when unknown titles are shortened to 3 letters!! I'm trying very hard to remember. 🤣🤣🤣

I first saw him as XiaoLin and i thought he really looked like XiaoZhan as YanBingYun in QingYuNian.
I recently discovered that there's a big group of people who think so too. But now that i have seen him for so long, i think he looks nothing like XZ. Weird..
