I watched 20 minutes of the first episode and I wasn't really interested. Should I continue watching it? Is it…
Same thing happened with me ... watched for 20 minutes and i thought 'this not as good as everyone said it would be'. That being said I powered through and it does progressively get better.
My advice is to watch the first 2-3 episodes and if you still aren't feeling drop it.

This isn't a remake of the Korean version. It's a totally different story.
Yes, it's a remake of the 2000 drama "Autumn Tale"

as a big fan of Gossip Girl, is this drama really the Chinese version of it? Is it worth watching?

can anyone tell me is this light? is this going good?
So far it doesn't look like it's going to be a light drama, that being said the first 2 episodes are amazing.

I find the way they treat women in this drama more disgraceful than usual. They basically do as if women are willingly…
Sadly but true Lakorns do depict the reality of for most women in Thailand in terms of how they are seen and treated.
Based on your comment if you want to try watching another Lakorn again my recommendations are MADAM DUN (2013) starring Mario Muarer and Ploy, the other is AB RUK ONLINE (2015) starring the lovely Anne Thongprasom and Peter Corp Dyrendal, 365 DAYS OF LOE (2010) with Anne and Ken and TAN CHAI NAI MOK (2012) starring Punch and Louis

"A Millionaire's First Love" I would not classify as sad. It's at the same level as "I Want to Hug You" which I consider "light" in comparison to other movies.
Try watching the television series of of "Koizora" it's worse (said with the best regard). I cried so much when I watched the movie, but for some reason I thought I could handle watching the series.... "A Moment to Remember," is the only movie I have put my foot down and will not willing watch.

Title The Lover
This sounds just like the Australian tv series "Wonderland," in a Korean context.
