In my opinion, i think people need to stop expecting so much from two episodes. I mean yeah go ahead and state…
Valid point. I usually apply 3 eps rule to adjust, and I think everyone also can draw boundaries to what extent is appropriate to judge. After watching 2 episodes so far, I see that everything is still like a warm-up, character introduction with a lot of weird body language and overreaction, and it's not entirely bad since the dark background in episode two has been shown.
Let's wait, even from watching a lot of dramas I think people should know that the good ones at the beginning in the last few episodes can be disappointing, as well as the drama that was initially unsatisfactory but could also develop in the next episode.
Great ending for every and each characters. Some people may feel disappointed with the emptiness that left behind but story-wise it's beautiful and peaceful. The cold war now has settled, the main couple continue the relationship with their own way. Bong Hwan as the temporary queen and life support for So Yong until now go back to his world. No pulling dramatic strings or twists. Everything just feels like a dream, so the flashback scene from JBH's pov really hit home for me. It's a wild ride and entertaining. Thank you!
I genuinely think Korean remake won't beat the original. But I'm sure it will be good either way, tho. Just imagine Money Heist with lots of drama and K-drama nuances join forces. Me cri for the umpteenth time.
K-drama fans, they just put low score on every japan related movies, dramas ect. They do the same thing on other…
May I butt in? I want to say, I half agree and disagree with your statement. I feel that jmovies and doramas are not suitable for newcomers who are too used to the nuances of kdramas. I can't completely blame them. Just like me who watches kdrama-jdrama alternately and shocked by the stiff atmosphere in chinese dramas for the first time. They're completely new to me, so I'm still picky watching the drama they have. Also in the corner of my head, I think it's wrong for people can simply label things as "bad/low" just because they are different. I can't back down sometimes and want everyone to know "hey, this is great, you know!". Because there are indeed many productions that deserve appreciation and exposure.
Omigosh, when was the last time I watched Okada Masaki in a movie? lmao I love his acting and his *cough* gentle expression! Definitely looking forward to this.
Oh shi--- I just watched the first episode, and I can say it was unexpected. The development is quite fast, though. But I like the "it's not done half-assed" part.
Thank your for the latest insight, commentators. So my suspicions were somewhat answered with the direction of development, that helps. I once made a post that will try to give this a chance but I'm still hesitant to get started. The webtoon itself is getting more and more cringe (in my country's version, we are up to the chapter about a stalker *big yikes*). I personally find, the romance plot, is really bad from the start, clearly not knowing where to take the story. And there is only a sense of temporary excitement. But it's up to you if you like this tho, because this series indeed looks cute.
I have the manga so I'm kind of looking forward to the adaptation. Noriko Ohtani has an excellent and unique story style but pretty underrated among fans. What needs to be underlined from Fish for It/Sukutte Goran is that the story gives the premise of romance but does not take further step. It just brings you to feel the mood, slice of life-oriented. So I hope the drama will give a different perspective regarding the additional developments between the characters.
I didn't come here for the actor. But I always look forward to every interesting stories from this kind of genre. Better keep the speculation for later.
I say yes for the comedy and encourage newcomer to go for it. Just forget the main conflict that taken place because it's stupid and weird. But, I think it complement well with the initial settings around the mc. So it's up to you whether you want to watch it for fun or you need both the fun and serious side as perfect as possible. As for me, well, not a fav but I'm going to miss it!
Kdramas have always been plot-driven so with this being a character and dialogue based drama, people aren't used…
Very true. Everyone is more interested in the spicy side of things that happen. Even intriguing ones--which are said can draw out of given characters--aren't always mean good. In acting yes, but not with the overall story. I understand very well about preferences and because of that I get annoyed when something is clearly good but always gets criticized.
I recommend everyone to consider watching the drama. I thought at first it's simply tom-and-cat fight period romcom between the ML and the FL. Well, if you think so, you aren't wrong about that. But turns out it's not that simple. The plot was neatly written, well-thought, solid *not perfect*, and realistic. In this kind of level, typical freedom stuff but good. Even better the strong presence of each characters! (Especially officer Min). It's different with other light period drama I have ever watch. Some of them clearly look fictional and meh. On the other hand, this drama is pleasantly surprise. I seriously didn't expect much but I caught myself hooked every times. It's fun yet serious shit happens.
Edit : on side notes, so people don't get the wrong idea. I don't mean "realistic" as in "very serious". It just acceptable and natural.
I just started episode 2 and I can feel how the ratings speak.
Now I'm stuck. I seriously wonder whether to continue to watch or not. The whole plot is all over the place. It's weird coincidence after another. How characters interact with each other feels awkward and forced. But on the one hand, I kind of like it. Just a little. Maybe because of the cast.
I think I get a little bit "push" from others keep saying nice things about this drama. I came here from the webtoon and tbh it's so poorly written. I'll binge it since I love the cast.
Guuh, I binged watched it. It's so short that I don't feel like watching the drama at all. Maybe what I get weird about is the sudden appearance of new characters (unnoticed; it's okay, it's not affected the story in overall). I know the apartment is spacious, there are other residents besides the main one, but attention to detail also feels important.
I'm now looking forward to the second season, which obviously has to be made! I'm excited to imagine now his enemy is that badass uncle. I haven't read the rest of the webtoon in a long time, but I hope the main character grows strong and be more confidence to protect those around him.

But oooff, the comment section. I hope I didn't get the hint.
