i felt that too seeing their scenes, feel like shes gonna control LS somehow from the way she planted the red pill and holding the jade pendant like shes gonna wait till the war starts to use it or something and poor ZY his anger and hatred for demons and being taught young to kill them and only them since young that he afraid inside to not obey the things he was taught about demons its just sad seeing the problem he is put in even with Meng Li being an actual demon its all to much but ML looks pretty bad ass in the black/purple color scheme she so innocent in all of this but yet she grew up being more human than demon so she has that to hold on to and TH and LS are neutral when it comes to humans vs demons in some way so they will stand by ML no matter wat if shes human or demon. The friendship is really strong.
