who else have watched the ep8 preview over and over again, hoping for time to go faster for the next ep? 😆

also, after rewatching it so many times, i noticed that sol's voice as she confesses seems to be either coming from the phone or something recorded, so i wont be surprised if it was something she recorded and left in the time capsule...

but those are just my theories 😅

can't help but remember ep37 when yuanqi's selfless actions for ayin and daze mountain has been revealed 😭 if that's not unconditional love, i don't know what else is 🥹

I can't believe it has really ended 😭

before I say my final 'review', I would like to say kudos to the cast and crew for delivering such a beautiful story to us. there would always be room for improvements but i think overall, it was a drama worth my time (and money 😝). like i've said before, i can't picture any other actor playing gujin/yuanqi or actress playing ayin/fengyin or any other characters, really. they've all delivered pretty well and i'm so thankful for their dedication and passion to present to us this beautiful production. ❤️

to my f4: gujin/yuanqi (wang anyu), ayin/fengyin (zhao lusi), ajiu/hongyi (li yunrui), yanshuang (jianai), you will always have a place in my heart 🥰 you've made my days for over a month exciting. will really miss these four a lot! hopefully they get together again for a drama, whether modern or wuxia/xianxia, anything! just would love to see them together again. they have so much chemistry as a bunch friends and it made the 4 characters' relationship more convincing and perfect! ❤️

now for my final 'review'. 😁

first of all, the OST! i so so love all the tracks and what i love most is the fact that we start and end all episodes with lusi's and anyu's voice, it is just perfect! im sure i will be listening to them even after the drama 🥰

second, the production, from the actors to the backdrops/cgi. like i already said, i can't really see anybody else playing the characters, esp. our leads. i think they made the perfect casting for them. zhao lusi distinguished and expressed the three different 'personas' very well, and made it easier to immerse to the change of character. i have to give wang anyu a hands down with his expressive eyes. when gujin is happy, sad, conflicted, i could totally see it in his eyes, it made it easier to empathize with his character. considering it is both their first xianxia dramas, i think they really did well together 🥰 as for li yunrui and jianai, they made a perfect second couple. they looked cute together and more lovable as our MLs best friends. lastly, for the cgi. most of the time, it was really good but there are some parts they could've totally improved. but overall, there were a lot more beautiful shots that i think those could be forgivable 😆

last but not the least, the story. like i mentioned at the start of the drama, i love the pacing because it was not too fast nor too slow. some might find it slow, but i think the build up to fengyin's arc was just right, and even if fengyin's arc was shorter, it didn't fall short from ayin's arc. both were beautifully executed with both heartwarming moments and angst.

speaking of angst, who else cried when fengyin dreamt about her and yuanqi back at the forbidden valley which was truly bittersweet for me, when xian zhan returned and met at qingchi palace with the remaining 3 disciples (yq,fy,qy) and then when the daze mountain disciples finally gathered and fy realized all the sacrifices yuanqi did for them? and then last but not the least when yuanqi sacrificed himself to protect the 3 realms where his love lives and fengyin begged fengyuan and bibo to save him before fainting? let's add when our f4 minus yuanqi plus the phoenix clan and daze disciples helped fengyin breakthrough to the god realm...🙋‍♀️ 😄 my emotions were just in a rollercoaster ride 😆

the ending! i was already braving for the worse (that yuanqi won't come back as i think that is one alternate ending the novel has) but i'm so so thankful they went with yuanqi coming back alive! ❤️ the look of happiness and longing in yuanqi's and fengyin's eyes were just..! ❤️ after so many ups and downs and another thousand years of waiting, they finally got the happy ending they truly deserved 🥰😍❤️

we cannot forget hongyi and yanshuang's wedding! ❤️ the wedding was beautiful to say the least, being held at the pear blossom garden they both grew together to wait for ayin's return. it wasn't too grand but all the important people in their lives was there and i think that is what made it truly meaningful and beautiful. 🥰 i totally felt bad for huashu being manipulated by her father but i'm happy that at the end, she still chose to do good. in that regards, lan feng would be really proud of her. i hope that mayne in some alternate universe they'll be reunited. 🫶 the relationship between xiuyan and the mingqi is also one to watch, really. you won't see them as much but their relationship dynamics was also interesting. it really goes to say that having the right people in your life can really help you better yourself. 🫡 lastly, aoge and san sheng shi (the three stones of life) finally returned to where they should be and wanted to be (and they are finally tied with the red string of fate 🤭).

overall, happy ending for everyone! ❤️

again, congratulations to the cast and crew and hoping to see new shows/dramas from our leads and it would be better if they are together again in a new drama ❤️

when yuanqi came with alcohol and inviting hongyi for drinks, it was already obvious what he was up to 😆

and ofc the grandest wedding in all three realms! that confession from yuanqi in front of all is just too heartwarming and swooning! ❤️ his actions really shows that fengyin/ayin means more than his status as a true god or his pride and i hope fengyin's realizes this before it is too late 🥺

the preview for ep39 just made me tear up, the daze mountain disciples and the supreme master all welcoming her, it was like it was from start but the difference is very obvious 🥺 this makes my desire to rewatch the start stronger 🥹

i'm so not ready for the ending but at the same time i want to know what will happen to gujin/yuanqi x ayin/fengyin 🥺 i know it is good to stay true to the novel but at least in the drama, i hope they get the happy ending they deserve 🥺

i hope they release an express soon! i want to watch all the episodes already 🥹

idk if that is solely the reason but if only fengyin knows that the reason why yuanqi keeps hiding his right arm (mirrored view) behind his back almost every single time in the recent episodes, although it might seem as just a natural stance, is him trying to hide the fact that he is running out of time, how broken she would be 🥲

the peacock king pretending to be doing everything for his daughter but infact it is all for him and his pride and ego 😠 this father-daughter duo is seriously unlikable. as much as i hate huashu, her father is more detestable 🤬

"however, if you miss out on the person in front of you, you won't be able to come back to this point no matter how regretful you are in the future."

fengyuan stating only facts and fengyin be getting slapped by this soon 🥲

seeing all these previews for the next episodes, even if I know fengyin treating yuanqi like that is like a pay back as well as protecting herself for further pain she received as ayin from his time as gujin and yuanqi, I could only imagine the anguish she will feel once she finds out everything he has quietly done for her and when she realizes all this, it will all be too late, and she would regret having wasted all those days she could have instead spent with him 🥺

And maybe because they are same-aged friends it adds to their chemistry? 😊

So far loving it! I think the story is just phased perfectly, not slow, not fast, just right. The casts are doing so well in their roles, I can't imagine others in it. ZLS delivers as always and WAY surely fits his role. I'm happy he was the one who got the role ❤️

Everything in this drama is beautiful right now, and who else loves their costumes??? It is really so pretty! I love how our MLs costumes seems to compliment each other every time 🥰

Can't wait for the next ep! In a few eps, we can finally witness our MLs sweet 'date' ❤️

done with ep8 and at first i was really wondering how they would be able to stretch the novel to 33 episodes but after almost finishing the novel and watching tonight's episodes, although they are pretty much following the whole novel, I could tell they would be adding quite a bit of new events and i'm really excited about that. as much as i'm loving the novel, i'm really curious what would be the drama's version ❤️

I can't believe it really ended 🥺 Luckily there are still a few eps left from as you wish to look forward to for the next few days!

I don't know about others but I really loved the ending, whether in the 'story' or in the modern present day of our MLs 🥰 i'm so happy how they showed bits of how everyone ended up after the xue family has been rooted out. i especially loved the scheme xie wei and the king did. xue clan has been finally rooted out. even if xie wei and zhangzhe would have some beef when it comes with xuening, i love how they would still remain professional and join hands for the greater good. i would've loved it if fangyin didn't die because she was truly a loveable person but at them same time, her sacrificing for xuening makes total sense with her character's personality. lyu xian was also the sweetest. he might be all about money but he truly values friendship and love and ofc, he will forever be our number one shipper 😝 yanlin's character development from being that free-spirited viscount of the yan family to being best guy friend to xuening and the most understanding and supportive brother to xie wei is something that made his character so admirable. the sisterhood between xuening and the princess was also so beautiful. they blurred the lines between a royalty and a subject, contrary to how it started for both xie wei and shenlang. and our twins, xie tian and xie yun, who were truly cute! truly a spitting image of our MLs 😄 also, xiewei being forever jealous when it comes to zhangzhe even with his son is just so him 😅

and last but not the least! the simple wedding they had at the end was fits our MLs so much and it made everything perfect😚after everything they went through, i'm so happy they finally found the suitable person who they would spend the rest of their lives with. ❤️

"in the past, you taught me how to read, write, play the qin, and be a good person. from now on, let me teach you instead. i'll teach you how to love someone properly."

i love this line from xuening because xiewei would really need this 😅

our lovely leads in the modern era 🥹 if they actually make a sequel but in the modern era, that would be really interesting 😁
