It won't be the first time that we are tricked to believe in something only to find later that's what not what we thought, that's why I'm still hoping it was not a rape. If Yongjie stopped and didn't rape Xingsi, but still makes him believe the contrary, it can be because he needs Xingsi to be convinced it happened because he can't lie to their parents.

It's a twisted logic, but Yongjie is twisted so... Their dad has a soft spot for Yongjie because of his condition. He always tries to understand him and find excuses because Yongjie can't connect with emotions normally. The family knows Yongjie is messed up but they don't really hold it against him since he has always been liked this. Their parents are not really surprised when Yongjie said he went for a walk and attacked someone. Somehow, they kinda expect him to not lead a normal life.

In the other hand, Xingsi has this image of the perfect son and I think that's why he is afraid to come out to his dad, especially since he bears the responsability to start a family (I don't think their parents have this expectation about Yongjie). That's why he left the house, because he can't bear to let his dad know about his sexuality and become a disappointment.

If Xingsi is the one to approach Yongjie, if is the one seducing his little bro, his dad will never accept it. But if Yongjie takes the responsability for that, if he shows that it was what he wanted, and that he didn't give a choice to Xingsi and carefully planned everything, then their dad can't really hold it against Xingsi who was trapped.

Since Yongjie is obsessed with Xingsi, he can also argue that being with Xingsi is the closest way for him to lead a normal life, since Xingsi is the only one he listens to (when he is not dead set to put him in his bed...). And maybe their parents will hope Xingsi will have a positive influence over him.

And maybe Yongjie will use the "I will take responsabilty for what I've done and swear to make him happy if you allow us to be together. And it's better to keep your 2 sons than losing them both" card.

And just to be clear: that's not because I wrote that that it means I agree with it. I'm just trying to find a logic in Yongjie's twisted actions.

You are no one to judge someone's ordeal. What's really comical and absurd is that you seem to think you know everything about what happened, as if you were there, while you just read a few lines about what happened and forget conveniently some parts. But still, you want to impose your view.

If you would just try to listen to people, without judging them and imposing your view on them, you may be able to realize not everything fit your view of the world ;). But that's probably less thrilling for you than doing victim blaming.

Why should I stop watching? In fictions, the problem is not the rape, it's what the authors do with it, and for that, I have to keep watching. And I'm still hoping Yongjie stopped right after the scene was cut.

Xingsi has not an authority position over Youngjie, it's the other way around.

Xingsi can't really say no to his baby brother and Youngjie knows that too well. When Xingsi doesn't want to share a bed, Youngjie kept insisting until Xingsi gave in. I do not agree with you. From what I saw, Xingsi is clearly not realizing what he is saying. He is half asleep and totally drunk. He seems in a haze, half dreaming, not realizing what's going on. If you are drunk and someone kisses you, your body can reciprocate by habit, not because you want to do it with that person in particular. Do you see how devastated Yongjie was the day after, when he realized he touched his baby bro? He is supposed to protect him, not to jump him. And it's not a "oh no, I fucked my brother I was lusting for for ages, I'm such a bad person" situation.

I really wonder if we watched the same show. Xingsi is clearly drunk and doesn't realize what's happening. It's not because he kinda knows he is talking to his brother that it means he realize what's happening with him. When you are drunk, you can't focus or reason properly. If Xingsi really wanted to sleep with his brother, he would have been active during the act. Here, it's clearly shown that he can barely move an arm. Is it how consensual sex is supposed to happen? In the best scenario, Xingsi thought he was dreaming and was thinking about someone else.

And where did you see Xingsi have romantic feelings for Yongjie? He clearly sees him as his little baby bro that he has to protect and he can't say no to him. But that doesn't mean he want to say yes for sex. When he said he loves him too, it was definitely brotherly love. And no, he doesn't seem aware of his brother's romantinc feelings for him. You can see Xingsi is totally puzzled when Yongjie is being touchy with him and he doesn't know what to think of it. And everytime Yongjie said he liked him, Xingsi automatically thinks it's brotherly love.

And no, rape is not always violent and/or with strangers. It can happen in a safe place, a place you call home, with your boyfriend/husband, best friend, even with your sexfriend. And making a difference between minors and adults is invalidating all rape victims who are adults. It's not because you are over 18 that you can magically say no, especially if you are in state of shock. And the way you BLAME EVERYTHING on Xingsi is just victim blaming and contributes to rape culture.

Ok :). I think they intended to do that from the start since they said a long time ago HIStory series will never get a sad ending. In fact, it's really smart to add a happy ending in the novel. Since the novel was released after the series, fans had to buy it for getting the happy ending. And now, it gives them the perfect reason for making another season (not complaining here~). I just wish we could have official announcement on HIStory official accounts (unless I missed that).

There is an alternative ending in the novel. The ending we saw in the series was just a nightmare that Haoting had.
