people at that time trusted shamans too much and believe or not there are still people who trust shamans today in Korea. she was betrayed by that shaman. and they probably thought he was kidnapped because kids were getting kidnapped around where they lived. So the mom has som faults but she was just a mom who lost her son and went crazy.

you can not compare the dad and the mom, the dad was kidnapping kids for experiments and mom was heartbroken because she lost her son. the worst thing she did was treat the FL unfairly
did the kids in this movie get a happy ending irl?
before the movie came out the teachers got away like in the movie but after the movie came out all Koreans finally woke up and started to protest for the case to reopen and still some of some of the teachers got away after the case reopened and some of them only got 12 years in prison. the kid who died in the movie actually died in real life too. and there is no happy ending in real life because the kids who went through are traumatised for life. for example a girl who has a family now is still traumatised and still thinks about what she went through. so in conclusion there is no happy in real life
ain’t no way that is the ending, my last three historical dramas have been red sleeve, moon lovers and then this one. I’m retiring from historical dramas
