I can't believe I never watched this because people were saying how disappointing this drama was in comparison with Reply 1997. I mean, Reply 1994 is amazing. And I think you should give it a try, if you're unsure if you should watch it. Once you fall in love with the characters, there is no going back. You'll be a goner.
I'm watching this straight after reply 1997, but this one seems so slow and slightly makes me feel sleepy watching…
I'm currently also watching it because I want to see 1988. I honestly have the same problem as you, especially since the episodes of Reply 1997 weren't that long in contrast to the episodes of Reply 1994 that are over an hour long.
But if you stop comparing them and enjoy each drama for itself you'll see the charm of Reply 1994. I've just finished watching the 6th episode and I absolutely loved it.
But it's your choice. If you feel like giving this drama a chance you should keep on watching it until you like it or until you are convinced to drop it. Or you can stop now. Feel free to do whatever you feel like doing :)
Can somebody explain what is so ji sub illness for me please
He had cancer in his knee when he was a child, but he was healed back then (he had a surgery). And I think his problem as a grown-up is, that he can't get over his illness. He feels pain in his knee although there shouldn't be any. It's psychological. At least as fas as I could understand!
The drama description makes me unsure if I should watch it because I can already see myself being frustrated with some characters and some occurrences (I really hate injustice) but I'll still give it a try. I can't deny that the reason this drama caught my attention was because of Yesung, but I still hope that the story will make me stay. Fighting!
Does anyone know if they'll extend this drama? Becasue they usually do,
when an episode is cancelled ...
Thank you @Misakijinki95 @Zah, yessss, I agree with you. That's what I am worried about. I was never happy with how the drama turns out once they extend it ...
Ok, so first of all why do you think it's ok to post a spoiler just because others are doing the same? Are you your own person or do you follow everything others are doing? Especially since it's not that hard to click on the spoiler button, but ok.
And secondly, yeah I'm annoyed because I was happy to see them getting a divorce and after watching episode 10 I believed it would finally happen in episode 11. By reading your comment I didn't get the pleasure of being annoyed that they are STILL not divorced.
No need to take your anger out on me, especially since I wasn't unfriendly with my statement.
HONESTLY I thought everyone was overnanlysing Eunbok but it turns out they were right! For some reason though…
Oh, I don't thing he's as messed up as Doc and Min, but you can't be that normal if you kill people right? But he's at least sane. He's a killer without being crazy.
I guess we'll never now unless the writers decide to show us, but I honestly believe that LJY got himself a collection of children.

You really think it seemed like his first murder? I honestly don't think so. He didn't even waver for a moment and he didn't feel any guilt or pity towards Ji Soo. And while everyone else was mourning her death he behaved as if this day was just like any other. Moreover LJY told him that it wasn't necessary to kill her. And if LJY himself says this, then I wonder, what's wrong with this guy.
