I actually started watching this because of HJW. And she didn't disappoint me. This drama will give you everything that you need (I am talking about feelings) and even those things you didn't know that you needed until you started watching it.
But the most important thing to say is that this drama is really addicting. Every week I am like a drug addict waiting for the stuff to come. It's really irritating because as soon as it'S monday I check all the time if the new episode is updated or not.
I think you should just give it a try. The first 5 minutes already gave me so much to feel and anticipate. If you don't get hooked in that period of time you should drop it (or still give it a try. I don't know). But it's reallywort watching :)

I approve of your dreamcast! Omo, now it makes me sad that there's no drama-version of Harry Potter. Is there no petition or something to make this possible?

you're welcome! :) I actually watched it till episode 6 and then thought of dropping it, because I found her kind of annoying. But after picking it up, I am so glad that I did. She will improve her character and the story is awesome as well ;D

Master's Sun is great. I've watched it in no time. Same with Faith.
Now I am thinking of watching a drama with So Ji Sub but I am not sure which one I should choose (as if I'm not watching enough dramas at the moment xD)

Secret Garden is one of my first dramas and I liked it a lot. My all time favorite is Faith I think. But Master's Sun is also one of my absolute favs >.<

haha, really? You are the first one who tells me that she likes the King less than all the others xDD. Hmm, I think I disklike Yeom Byung-Soo and El-Temur the most. I hate traitor and El-Temur is just annoying as hell and I hope he disappears. Moreover he's the biggest menace to the Emperor and to Goryo. :x
I like Baek Ahn and Tal Tal so much! Haha, those two are so funny and I like the way he helped the Emperor.I also like nearly all the king's helpers in Goryo because they all seem to be funny and faithfull. People you can count on.
And although I find Dang Ki-Se really really creepy and I hope that he dies a horrible death I still kind of "like" him and his brother (woah, that guy is good-looking). He brings the certain something to the story. he's the villain that everyone hates and that's somehow cool (I hope you understand).
And the most love deserves the Emperor anyways, haha.

haha, you're welcome :) .. the king is fine. but I would prefer seeing him being friendzoned, haha. The Emperor is such a cute character. I can't help loving him :D

haha, yeah .. I won't give up so easily either. We still have 44 episodes to go. There are still all doors open and there is every change possible. If the Emperor will be heartbroken this would kill me *cry. I like him so much and I completely understand that he had to betray her and that he had to make some sacrifices in order to succeed. I honestly hope that the writers won'T turn him into an annoying douchebag. That would be just too mean >.<
Aaah, it's too bad that there are only 2 episodes every week which take so long to be subbed :/

Past 2: Whereas the king did everything to win her over which made him gain her respect and love. For though he may not have as much power to confront Yuan and protect his people he's still giving his everything to be the honorable king he wants to be and whom Sungnyang would accept as a king and lover.
The only reasons for this marriage are actually that Sungnyang can't reject the Emperor's proposal (her being just a concubine and all) and that she will have more power as an Empress so that she can revenge for all the bad things that happened to her and all the people shehas lost. Somewhere I aslo read that she marries the Emperor so that she can save the king's life but I don't know what'S exactly meant with that.
Sorry for this long explanation, haha. But I hope you know what I mean. I am very curious myself on how this drama will go on and despite all I hope for SungnyangxEmperor.

Part 1: I guess the most important point is the beginning of the first episode. You can see from the very beginning that Sungnyang is in love with the King of Goryo instead of the Emperor of Yuan whom she is to marry. Although I like her relationship with the Emperor more I can't force her to love him. Moreover she now blames him for the death of her father and is planning to kill him. And it'S not just that. Do you remember when Sungnyang and the Emperor were on the beach and she told him that she doesn't want anything from him except him never to request Eunuchs/Concubines from Goryo? And what was the first thing he did after his coronation? Exactly that what she told him not to do. You see he actually did everything to earn her resentment.

Hello! Actually I am not so sure myself if this is true or not, but I have read it everywhere where this drama was mentioned. Sadly. But it could be true, regarding what happened in episode 6 and considering the review of episode 7. Ah, I will probably have the worst second lead syndrome ever. But who knows what will really happen. Anyway I expect the worse and hope for the best *heartache >.<
