Theres 2 reasons really: 1. In Zhu Yun's play she said "after she washed the blonde dog, he came out to be a regular street dog in a big blonde cover up". Li Xun heard this and dyed his hair back to black to mock her. This showed his interest in her as he wanted to see her reaction so bad.
2. Their C Code teacher advised Li Xun to not rebel so much and show sincerity.
Personally I believe reason #2 was a coverup to show her he didnt do it for her but he did it for her in reality.

ive rewatched this 3 times.... honestly, the least cringy cdrama I've seen in my life. I didn't have to skip anything, the production was amazing. I sat and looked forward to everything, this is a big 10/10 for me!
