I rewatched episode 6 and the man who Yi-Jin helped look like the referee Hee-Do's and Yu-Rim's match. Or maybe I'm wrong.
I saw this thread on Twitter about the theory during Yi-Jin's and Hee-Do's conflict when they were 23 and 19. It kinda makes sense. I just can't find the link right now.
But there might be some conflict between who won the gold medal and Yi-Jin of course needs to make a report about it and ends up hurting Hee-Do's feelings. (Similar to how the Coach and Hee-Do's mom). Because Hee-Do gives so much importance to her fencing career and of course, it is difficult to ask Yi-Jin to give up his job for her.
I just hope they work it out, because relationships or friendships do have struggles but that's what makes their bond stronger.
We're here for the journey. But fighting BaekDo ship or friendship! 🍑
Baek Yi-Jin risks his job to save and bring Hee-Do back to the competition on time. He even forgot his co-worker hahaha. Must be nice to have our own Yi-Jin! 🥺
The most memorable scene for me is when Yi-Jin said, "You need to be in love first before you get a sad breakup, idiot" and Hee-Do remembers him leaving the sword that she gave him with the handle and the new color. So I think she was or perhaps had deep feelings for Yi-Jin since that time already but is not ready to admit that she is.
Lastly, I love that Hee-Do does not just want to win the gold medal, but also loves fencing in its nature and for fun. We love our passionate, Na Hee Do fencer!~ ❤️
The whole episode 5 got me crying, laughing, smiling, and rooting for both Hee-Do and Yi-Jin. I got teary-eyed when Hee-Do won the match for the National Team and Coach was so happy for her.
The part with Yi-Jin and his younger brother got me so sad too. Because I think Yi-Jin needed his brother's emotional support and Yih-Yun pretending to not know him and being embarrassed of him hurt Yi-Jin. I really hope Hee-Do and Yi-Jin see each other on Episode 6.
THE PHONE SCENE, THE SNOW, THE TV SCREEN GOT ME 😭.
