I don't mind cliffhangers if my favourite character is not the one, who dies in them. :D Sometimes I don't even watch S2, even when it exists, because its cast changed too much and it would be like watching completely new story.
Also, I usually watch dramas mainly because my favourite actress / actor is in them and if the cast is changed, I have no reason to continue. For example: Ever Night - I started to watch it for Ireine Song, but Cheng Fei Yu (ML) was very good in it too. In S2, ML and some other characters are played by different actors and I don't want to continue. Another one is Fights Break Sphere: S1 was amazing, but S2 has almost whole cast different and I don't want to continue that either. Douluo Continent - I watched it because of Wu Xuan Yi and if she is not in S2, I will not watch it.
So it doesn't matter much to me whether there is no S2 or there is, but with different cast. If S1 is good, then I watch it, but its ending must not be tragic one.
Ok so just watched ep 4 and I was a bit disappointed, not many moments between the two leads and it really felt…
In the end of ep. 4 I just thought, there there is almost no chemistry between them. And in the next moment, their friends started to talk about their chemistry too and how they are adorable. I just also felt, that some moments were skipped or it was rushed. Some scenes also looked too forced to me, like the one in 18th minute, where they were drinking something and then looked at that device (coffeemaker?) and they made weird faces. Then they looked like normal friends again and in the end switched to some lovey-dovey mode, that came out of nowhere. I am totally confused from it.
I watch it for GL couple, but more for time travel mystery and comedy. :) It also touches many other things as…
I watched it without knowing about all that sex education. I only read that it is mystery, comedy, time travel. Next time I need to read the rest of tags. lol. It is also not safe to watch it with high volume. But it was very good drama.
I really don't like Sam's grandmother at all, also I don't like the man that was cheating on his wife...apart…
I would say, that the 2nd person then should break up with him too, because if he can leave the 1st one for another, then he can do the same later to the 2nd one too. Then the 1st person (betrayed one) should start dating the 2nd person and completely ignore that cheater :)
I've added SCOY because of Freen and Becky. Even thought I haven't watched it yet, because shows focused on BL are not my cup of tea, Freen & Becky are my favs anywhere. And also The Warp Effect has GL couple (I watch it now)
It is no bug. It was just designed that way. Try to click it more times and you will see what will happen. ;-) It is not normal quiz, but adventure. :) Some options are hidden and whether they appear depends on your previous actions.
Look, I understand not making the show available for free. It's a company after all, and their main goal is to…
It is not for free, ads can be annoying to watch. And Youtube pays for views ($3 for each 1000 views according to wikipedia). I don't have YT account, so I can't say what all YT gives. But GAP had in total about 325M views... which should be around $975.000 gained only from views and it will rise. And that is not all. It would be interesting to see its balance one day (costs / gains / profit).
Since it is on YT for free, fans can support it and I also let it play in browser many times - to increase views. But business plan for this show is weird. It is like if someone thinks, that all those viewers GAP had, will pay to see another series. That is wrong. Episodes will surely leak and a lot of people will watch it again for free, but its producers will have nothing from it.
I definitely get where you're coming from but the ending for me, signifies that choosing who you can love is a…
I think, that the biggest problem of this drama is , that they wanted it to be accurate to the novel, but then had to rush it to come with happy ending. Many events then have no reason to be there, because there will be no S2. The novel has part 2 and I read some spoilers about it., but since they didn't want to adapt it then imho it would be better to follow the novel only very freely. Many scenes could be removed (e.g. the one, where Nita said, that Sam will be hers), many rewritten and they could add scenes with Tee + Yuki. Then it would be perfect.. but a bit different drama.
But I agree with your interpretation. It shows harsh reality. Some people can't marry their loved ones because of their family, laws, society... Sam's relationship with her grandmother is very similar to Stockholm syndrome. And it is hard for Sam to leave her. It also shows, that doing something for your loved ones with an intention to make them happy doesn't mean that it will not have completely opposite effect. Better would be to support them in what they want than force own's imagination of happiness upon them.
I would prefer an ending, where they would... after beach events in ep. 10 ... run away together and travel around the world. They would be free. Sam's grandma would be probably furious, but Sam would not care and they could then marry in England. :)
