Fell in love with Yu He Wei in Three-Body (2023). It was so good and he was fantastic. That's how I found this drama. I'm loving this drama too. It's the first one I watch every day before moving to my other current dramas.

Absolutely. The actress is incredible too, so believable lol.

I wouldn't classify it as romance per se, But a lot of "love" tones. For example, there is interaction between the main couple (love and tension...etc.), and other love interests (e.g. loves someone who loves his best friend), loss of spouse and the pain that goes with it through the years, and later possibility of feeling for another.

Not really spoilers since many synopsis says the same as I stated and there is a novel but some don't want to know anything about a drama to maintain complete surprise.

There is a novel by Teng Xiaolan (same name as drama), and is set in a modern financial city. Tao Wuji ( Bai Yufan) is a rookie at the lowest level and the VP Zhao Hui (Yu Hewei) really likes him, brings him in, mentors him. Then there is the audit manager Miao Che (Wang Xiao) who is a close old friend with Zhao Hui. Right now, I'm on episode 11 but there has been a lot of interesting background and the plot is thickening. Looking forward to the aggressive and thrilling battle between the rookie and his girlfriend (young generation) vs Zhao Hui & Miao Che (older generation). Who will come on top as to safeguard the stability in the financial sector? Who will make the right choices, the wrong choices... Etc.

There are a lot of unrealistic dramas out there or cartoons, for that matter, that every character is perfect. I don't get people who drop the rating just because there is an annoying character. That is life, and this is a realistic portrayal of many families out there. I never liked the mother, and I find her infuriating (My own mother is similar) but that's what adds to the drama, and watching how CH grows and handles it.

I think Wang Jin Song and Yu He Wei are such excellent actors. This drama has such a great cast, and the story is so interesting.

Watched it for Hao Fu Shen <3. I loved him in Hikaru No Ho and I wasn't disappointed. It is adorable and a good watch. Interesting story!

It is!! Totally caught me by surprise how deep it is. I was expecting a light, not so serious, typical romance drama. It is amazing in life lessons as you said.

I actually feel really sorry for Jia Liang. He tried his best, screaming at his sister and mother... Etc. It's really sad to me but his mother and sister are horrible, absolutely horrible. Cheng Huan stayed in much longer than I would have and I think Jia Liang really loves her, and it's just so sad but realistic. Such a great drama.

This is so much better than the rating here.
