Watching this the second time around. Oh man, they really couldn't have done a better job in the drama. Juck Zhang, Xu Xian Xu knock it out of the ballpark. Perfect casting, phenomenal performances. I loved the anime, the manga so much... And yet, I love the drama even more.

Loved you in NIF2 and even more in HIkaru No Go. You are talented!

I've only seen in him Mr. Queen and now this one. You made a valid point about facial expressions because it wasn't really wasn't what Ji Soo was saying in the script but his extreme facial expressions is what bothered me and came off goofy/unrealistic to me.

But, I hear you... Just like too goofy looking, I wouldn't want a flat-lined face either. lol Something to watch for as this drama progresses.

This conversation reminded me of an American actor name Andrew McCarthy that only had one expression lol. (80s movies St. Elmos Fire, Pretty in Pink... Etc.).

I felt Jisoo played On Dal all wrong, he was far too goofy. On Dal was a simple man but not a goof.

I am absolutely loving this drama, especially since Na In Woo stepped in. Such a great story from the famous tale of On Dal. I think Na In Woo is nailing it. The childlike, simple, pure sweetness but has the DNA of a great general.

I am not from the production team and I 100% disagree with you. They have great chemistry and Na In Woo has not only charisma but is nailing the spirit of On Dal. The previous actor was far too goofy for the character. I just finished ep 10 and I can not wait to see ep 11.

Saw the first episode this morning to try it out and have binged it all day and haven't stopped all day lol. Finished ep. 8. Really like it. The switch didn't bother me in the least. Looking forward to more parts with Na In Woo. Loved him in Mr. Queen.

I think Na In Woo was a great choice for replacement. Ondal was a simple character in real life but not necessarily goofy.

I loved the first episode. I can tell right away when I'll love a drama. I'm looking so forward to this. Xiao Zhan is the cherry on the top.

Definitely one of the most overrated shows ever (in my humble opinion ^^). I liked it but there is no way that it should be where it is on the top drama lists. For me, it was a solid 8.5.
