He is depressed and acts that way to void out his inner feelings of worthlessness. I am not saying what he is doing is right but I am trying to understand his behavior.

He shows up at their parties for them to see him because if he was left alone... He would realize that he is truly alone... He eats in that manner to get a reaction from his peers because he knows they won't pay him attention no matter what he does -because in his 'society' -you are only acknowledged and given attention -when you have 'succeeded'.

That is what I get from his behavior. Though I wouldn't like him if I was to ever meet him in real life but I do feel for him from a viewer's perspective because he is so disruptive-whereas I would be more like the fl -which is being quiet. Both of these are signs of depression....

I literally cried when the fl couldn't take the ml's friend talking behind his back.... She said something about him being afraid or terrified and literally I started crying.... It was like someone opened a tap and my tears were overflowing... I know this drama is gonna be amazing. 😭

I feel sympathetic towards the ML because as you rightly said -I see fragments of myself in him -particularly the aspects of personal frustration but at the same time-his behavior is very 'selfish' because he imposes his 'feelings' of worthlessness on others through his behavior when everyone else -just like him is also just trying to 'get by'. So I think the writer want us to explore our feelings of his character in our own way.... Do I find him annoying? Yes! In real life -if I encountered such a character -I would definitely avoid him because he depletes your mood and can suck your energy ... Yet from a viewers point of view -who can see his internal feelings -I feel sorry because how else can he express himself? If he is not loud or disruptive -would any of his 'circle' friends even give him a little attention?

I find that he speaks a lot because he is scared of the silence -as once he settles in his silence -he'll realize there's nothing. So he's loud and disruptive to void his nothingness which on my side is a big sign of depression....

I really like this drama and I love the actor's portrayal of this character because you feel overall pity and disdain for the person at the same time....
