I'm coming from Rising with the Wind. Then I found someone suggesting this. I found this in Youtube and its so irritating when they put another music on top of a music and character's lines.

finally found someone with same sentiments! at some point I am speaking to myself, FL & SML have some great interactions and SML being the best guy

hoping they post it asap lol. i subscribed to iqiyi for this month only!

i'm not a fan of the 2nd lead. some episodes I am actually rooting for SML and FL as their interaction was so great

for me its worth the watch. good plotline (for me), but the episodes are too many for me. I actually played it in 1.25x and 2x speed for long shots (and boring one)

+1 on this one. it felt propaganda when they interject male/female leads in uniform works (firefighter, police, doctors to name some). I have dropped some of them when they shove it to our face.

My thoughts:
- I did like the plot line, but 40 episodes is too much, for me too much on establishing shots (that's why a lot of times I played it at 1.25x, then for the boring shots I sped it up at 2x) – reason why I only gave 8/10. But to be fair, I am watching this on bili bili app but they only posted until ep 22, and I had the urge to subscribe to iQiyi to finish all eps!
- I am now fan of FL (Elaine), at first her character was really irritating for me, but as the story progresses, and she experience hardship, I am really connected with her character and emotions. On the 100th anniversary of Teng Yue, I am with her, as she conveyed her distress in her not included to all the decisions made and she felt like everyone colluded against her.
- Am I the only one shipping Jiang Hu & Yang?! Especially on earlier episodes, and even when FL & ML are already a couple. Yang is always there for Jiang Hu, takes care of her, wingman for all her sneaky things.
- Wu Bo Song version 2.0! Gao Zhi Ting is yet again a simp in this drama! But I really like his acting here. Hoping to see him in a lead role! I did skip a lot on his romance (sorry haha)
- intimate scenes: although this is a business centric drama, I am satisfied with the amount of skinship here! Kiss scenes are fire! If you want hardcore business with the right amount of romance, I prefer this more than Master of My Own
- the veteran actors in this drama are so good! It really adds up to the scenes!

I am so grateful that I binged this one, not when it’s ongoing. I am going thru rough times when this series aired and I think I can’t handle the heaviness of this one.

I really loved how slice-of-life this was. I was laughing a lot on its dry humor on 1st parts of the drama, but bawling my eyes out on ep 14-15. I am a sucker for intimate scenes for dramas but I really felt the emotions of Mr Gu and Mi Geong without it. It feels Arthouse to me, the shots, location, antics, ost, everything.

anyone watching via VIU? is it only me that "unable to play video" for EP 10?

Last week was tooo busy for my fanatic life! I’ve managed to squeeze in:

I’d say this final one quarter of 2023 have the best dramas! I am waiting for these so I can binge:
- castaway diva (awaiting to finish)
- good day to be a dog
- the story of park’s contract marriage
- my demon

I’m at ep 7. I feel like the present leads will not have romantic relationship. FL will just be a bridge. I wonder how will they stitch this up

Should i delve into this? Is it ktrauma?

My theory is either he’s a brother of FL’s mom (aka the chef teacher). Maybe he’s trying to figure out how his sister died in the arson

Well, after ep 8, these are my theories:
- ML is also taken aback from past, got smitten by FL in the present so he agreed to this contract marriage (cause he also got date in his wrist)
- Chef teacher is the mother
- assistant is blood related (still cant think of which)
- Yura is not their child

In all honesty, this year was my kdrama slump (I have been delving to Cdrama / Jdorama, but none was astonishing). I find a lot of unfinished dramas in my list. This was the only drama (for me ah), that I didn't have thoughts such as "they should do this, do that", "why the lead did that". As others said, the pacing was on point, and for me they have wrapped it beautifully.
