Too short - when is season 2??
Likes:1. Short but oh so sweet! I was expecting this to be a light cheesy romcom but was surprised that it also had a lot of heart!
2. Despite only having 6 episodes and the super quick romance between Yihang and Angie, i totally believed in them and wanted them to be together! Cried when Yihang cried in the car.
3. I also liked the stories of the other characters - Sophie was like a b*tch robot but i cried when she said "i love morons"
4. I also liked Liu Yin and i hope she finds Hao Hao!
5. Ding ding and Gui were so funny! 😂
6. Eddie -- ugh! I thought he was going to be the sweet second lead but he's not! I forgot that he is a gangster's son!
Dislikes:
Not much but i wished they extended 2 more episodes so we get more romantic scenes between Yihang and Angie. Oh and sometimes the english subtitles were too colorful and had more swear words than what the characters are actually saying!
Please tell me there is going to be a season two! 🥺

Nice revenge drama
Likes1. The sudden relationship between Sangpil and Jaeyi was a surprise but since they focused on their working relationship more than the romance, it was fine. I liked how their minds clicked and how they discussed things.
2. I loved the lawless lawyer team, esp Kwangsoo, Geumja and Geun Gang. They may have an unorthodox way of investigating but it still worked.
3. Really hated An Oh Ju from the start but the actor was so good that i actually felt bad for him in the end.
4. Cha Moon Sook was so bad i wanted someone to please slap her face and see her unruffled. But even when she got jailed she had the same frowning expression and remained calm. I wanted her to at least go crazy for once.
Dislikes
1. For a drama that mostly featured lawyers and prosecutors, there were not a lot of court case scenes where they actually did the hearing. Most of the time the defendants were acquitted so we never got a real sense of how good bong sang pil or Jaeyi was in their jobs.
2. The finale was not that impactful since there were no big twists or shocking events. It is more like will An Oh Ju or Nam Soon Ja betray Cha Moon Sook or not? Still it was satisfying.

Terrific acting but boring and filled with plot holes in the second half
Likes:1. The greatest part of this drama is the wonderful story about Sangtae and Gangtae. Esp the fantastic performance of Oh Jung Se. I loved the progress of the brothers, from being bitter and holding past grudges, to letting it all out and starting to have honest communication. To finally realizing they need to support each other. Sangtae belongs to Sangtae. Gangtae belongs to Gangtae. But they are brothers.
2. More than the romance between Munyeong and Gangtae, i loved how the three became their own family. How Munyeong learned to open up and start feeling for other people. Loved the messages of her fairytales.
4. Also loved Juri's mom and Dir Oh.
Dislikes:
1. Lots of boring episodes and scenes that i fast forwarded some of them.
2. Lots of plot holes. Like how did The brothers survive on their own for 20 years? Where and when did they meet Jaesu? With both parents gone, who took care of Munyeong growing up?
3. Nurse Park turning out to be Munyeong's mom doesnt make sense. They teased this twist so much but ended in just 1 or 2 episodes without sufficient explanation on how she survived or backstory why she turned psycho.
4. The reveal of younger Do Hui Jae's face was disappointing. For all the mystery surrounding her face and for all the talk about Munyeong's dad falling with love with her because she was beautiful, i was expecting a super elegant and gorgeous looking lady but she was not.
4. The stories of the patients didnt leave a lasting impression on me, except for the old guy and Kwak Dong Yeon's cameo. They could have totally removed the patients stories and the drama can still survive. There were unnecessary characters or underutilized characters. Juri and Ceo Lee were relegated to just a secondary love line when they could have better storylines. Seungjae seemed more like comic relief. I was interested in Jaesu and his story. Why he ended up following the brothers around and where he gets his money to be able to open his own businesses. Instead Jaesu only shows up to be Sangtae's babysitter or when Gangtae needs a shoulder.

Money is the root of all evil!
Likes1. Big question: how much are you willing to do and sacrifice to get 99 million dollars? So many different people trying to get hold of the money for their personal reasons, and i liked the message that money esp greed shouldn't control your life.
2. Tae Woo is probably the only "good" person in this drama, everyone else, even Seo Yeon is so gray. I loved it because it felt so real (although the situation is not) - as much as i love to hate Heeju or Jae Hun, i could understand them. Even Minkyu and Seung Jae, i actually felt bad for them.
3. Funny that almost every time, In Pyo gets the money, and yet at the 11th hour, he suddenly had a conscience and went back for Seo Yeon. And the money ends up with the right person.
4. Tae woo's confession and Seo Yeon telling him about his brother's death was painful.
5. Loved Seung Jae even though his character didn't stay long.
6. Probably better if this ended in 12 eps. Loved everything until Seo Yeon saved the main villain. The whole part about Daniel Kim was messy plotwise.
Dislikes
1. The main villain is not convincing to me. Maybe it's because the face of the actor is too nice to be scary, or because he doesn't have any background story that will make me at least understand his motivations. Drama mostly told us he was bad, his goons kill people but I don't see him actually do anything more than to look expensive.
2. The final showdown was underwhelming because i expected something as explosive as the epic scene in the middle but still okay since it neatly wrapped all the character stories (mostly through death lol)
3. The final scene between Tae Woo and Seo Yeon.

Intense, fast paced ride!
Likes:1. The show was an intense 16 hour ride. The stakes kept getting higher and the twists just kept coming. The were so many betrayals and alliance switches you need to really focus to make sure you dont miss anything. I love that the show isnt afraid to kill off characters both good and bad.
2. Namgoong Min is perfect as the anti-hero Dr. Na Ji Ye. He has psycho eyes that you would really believe that he will do anything to get his revenge. And so smart and handsome too
3. Dr. Seon started as really evil and i loved his fights with Dr. NA, but i also loved when they finally put their two heads together to fight the real villain. (But he also has to pay for his bad deeds too!)
4. I thought i wouldnt find a worse villain that the psycho killer in Defendant but i think Lee Jae Jun is worst! He has done so many wrong things and yet i can somehow understand his motive. It doesnt excuse his behavior. Til the end he was unrepentant and even scheming his escape plan.
5. Justice really changes per person. No matter which side wins, justice will always prevail.
Dislikes:
1. For all the fights between Lee Jae Jun and Lee Jae Hwan, im surprised that they are not even acknowledging how smart and competent Lee Jae In is. I thought she should have been the successor (after her mother).
2. Dr. Na is right. This all started with the Taekang family feud. Cant believe rich and powerful people really can get away with anything.
3. How come i didnt hear any OST but i can search the songs in youtube? All i remember are the suspenseful instrumentals esp that alarm sound.
Btw does anyone know the tune that LJJ whistles? Is it from Kill Bill?
Rating: 8.5/10 (but i prolly cant watch this again. Not good for the heart)

Where's my agent?
Behind Every Star (2022)I didnt watch the original French drama so I'm not going to compare it with this Korean remake.
Likes
1. I liked the episodic celebrity cameos esp Jo Yeo Jeong, Oh Nara/Park Hosan, Kim So Hyun, Lee Soon Jae, Daniel Henney (although his episode was the only one with a bad ending).
2. At first I thought Ma Tae Oh is the bad guy in the office but actually he's the one I like the most, despite his personal mistakes. And I love how much he actually dotes on Hyunjoo esp when everyone found out.
3. Heo Sung Tae is fun to watch even if his character is annoying. I wouldn't want a boss like him! Lol.
Dislikes
Except for Tae Oh, all the other leads' stories are not that good. I don't like the tax guy, i prefer Jane with Jungdon not the the receptionist, even Hyunjoo lacked the spark of a young passionate agent. The weird sibling romantic vibes between Hyunjoo and Eungyul.
The french drama has 4 seasons, while this remake's 1st season covered 2 seasons. Not sure if they'll be renewed for season 2 and if I'll continue watching (maybe if they can get even better cameos).

Criminal Minds
Likes1. I love Kim Nam Gil as the first criminal profiler. I was starting to get scared that this drama will turn into 'Mouse'. Esp in ep 10 when he couldn't contain his emotions any longer. He was absorbing all of the criminals' feelings and in his line of job, he needs to be strong enough to separate work and personal life.
2. Shocked that the cases are based on actual murders in Korea. That period must have been terrifying with several serial killers running loose.
3. Was personally scared of the balding serial killer with the creepy smile. I had to double check my door locks before going to sleep everyday after watching the episodes.
4. I also loved the teams. They first didnt believe in what they're doing but when their analyses were always correct, the rest of the squad started consulting with them.
Dislikes
Not much except the drama was missing an extra oomph to make it memorable
If you want to know more of the Daesung serial killer, try to watch Netflix's Raincoat killer.

Bad and Crazy
I loved the first episode, it felt very bad and crazy indeed. Not just Ryu Soo Yeol, but also the bad guys. This drama was not afraid to show grit, blood and lots of violence. The entrance of K as the mysterious figure was very interesting and makes you want to know more about him.I'd say this drama felt like 2 different dramas merged into 1, and it's mainly because there were 2 main cases -- the first one, was about Do Yu Gon (episodes 1 to 4) and the related drug case / corruption, (episodes 5-8). The second one felt totally different vibe from the first case, and focused on the psycho therapist who has a deep and painful past with Ryu Soo Yeol. I honestly liked the second half more than the first half. Mainly because I didn't care about the drug case, and the main guy. The captain was too menacing and invincible. He looked like a old short detective, but he was faster, stronger than the younger guys, which i thought was unbelievable.
I also though the case dragged for too long and the plot kept repeating where Ryu Soo Yeol will almost catch the bad guy, but something happens, he loses his chance, he has to kneel down and swallow his pride, then finds something new and starts again.
And that makes me go back to Ryu Su Yeol as the main character. I liked how flawed he was, like an anti-hero but you can help but cheer for him (or maybe because Lee Dong Wook looked impeccably appealing in his suits and sexy tousled hair despite the blood and dirt LOL). Soo Yeol was corrupt, doesn't have the heart to continue fighting, gets beaten down every time. And it's all because of his tragic past that he had to conjure K to protect him.
K is the opposite. Wi Ha Jun's eyes and smile always looked like he was a wild man /superhero when he fights for justice, but also had this childlike wonder when he meets his crush, Hee Gyeom. I loved the bromance between K and Su Yeol and was also crying when they had to finally part. That scene where they said goodbye and when Su Yeol opened the door, he saw W crying inside was heart warming.
I also liked Hee Gyeom and Su Yeol's team, Gyeong Tae and Jae Sun. Sometimes I wanted to scold Su Yeol for teaming up with K (which is basically himself) rather than go to this team for help. But he eventually learns to work with his team and catch the bad guys.
The psycho therapist was unbelievably great at everything, and was always one step ahead of Soo Yeol. I still didn't quite get his motive for having a grudge against Soo Yeol so I can't really sympathize with him. Or maybe I'm not supposed to, but he is so handsome (haha).
Overall, I still felt the 12 episodes were too long, this should have been 10 episodes, but still a fun watch despite getting frustrated sometimes with the plot.

My happy pill for the past few weeks. I could never turn down watching Cha Tae Hyun.
Likes
1. Yu Dongman and Kang Sunho's mentor-student relationship was one of the best things in this drama. Like they said in the last episode, Sunho found his family and friends because of him while Dongman felt young and alive again after meeting Sunho.
2. The romance between Sunho and Kanghee, from their meet cute, to Kanghee imagining Sunho with puppy face, the red bracelet, breakup and getting back together. The only downside is Kanghee breaking up with him during the time he needed her the most and Park Min Kyu's character who was wasted here.
3. Besties Bum Tae and Junwook, the love triangle and how they suppored Sunho and Kanghee during the whole drama.
4. Sunho and his relationship with his father was one of the things that got me emotionally hooked during the first few episodes.
5. Probably one of the best written endings where every one's story was neatly wrapped up.
6. Also loved the OST esp Get Ready and Love Your Everything
Dislikes
1. A few episodes where the illegal gambling story got sidetracked because of the twists and turns but didnt mind because we got more focus on the romance and bromance. I did appreciate that the bad guy wasnt that bad at all. But the end didnt justify the means esp when youre breaking the law and hurting other people.
2. Baekhee was too unnatural and over the top with her acting.
Rating: 9/10 (8.5 for the story +.5 for how this drama made me feel)

LDR is really difficult
I think a lot of people didn’t like this movie because of the last 10 mins when they showed the twist. I actually liked it. Even though I was expecting a happy ending for the couple, I was also fine with how the movie ended. Sweet and Sour indeed. I thought it was very realistic. The couple started sweet (as in any relationship) but when Hyeok was transferred to Seoul, trouble started. I think both of them tried their best to maintain their relationship but they were both tired, overworked, pressured and lonely. They started blaming and resenting each other rather than talk about it or make time when they’re together. Da Eun was lonely and met a guy who was nice and would do anything for her. Hyeok met a girl who was beside him and understands his work. I also felt like Da Eun was the first who started to cheat. When she accused Hyeok of having an affair with Bo Yeong, that’s when Hyeok did it.
In the airport scene, I thought Da Eun would not push through with the trip and run after Hyeok, but it didn’t happen. But, I think it wasn’t a bad choice. What I didn’t like is how Hyeok, after realizing he loves Da Eun after all and came running to the airport, found out she was already with another guy, and instead of fighting for her, he went back to Bo Yeong and tried to propose to her as a second choice. But Bo Yeong is also leaving and he ends up alone. Oh well, he made his choice and must suffer with the consequences.
I don’t know if months later, will Da Eun still be with Lee Jang Hyeok? Will Hyeok date another girl? Or will they both end up with each other again? We will never know.

Ghostbusters Kdrama Style
Likes:1. Perfect combination of badass Jia and cool In Bum 🥰 i didnt mind that they didnt end up together, coz Inbum might lose his psychic (special) abilities ☺ They are like Kdrama version of ghostbusters!
2. I really liked the episodic cases, though towards the middle the main story was losing steam. The tone of the drama also changed from fun to somber.
3. No matter how many times they show it, i cant get enough of Inbum whenever he is possessed by the spirits.
4. Jia's mom had a nice sendoff. I thought they were going to give her a fantastic goodbye but what we got was beautiful and perfect.
5. Loved the bromance between Jichul and Inbum. Even Jia lost to their i love yous 😆 i also liked Hwajeong and how she took care of Jia.
6. This drama had the oddest PPL (men's underwear lol).
7. Are they releasing the OST album? I hope so! I keep hearing "I Got you!"🎶🎶 In my mind all day
Dislikes:
1. The exorcism of the egg ghost wasn't spectacular as I expected it to be.
2. Do Hak Sung was a boring villain.

The Uncanny Counter Season 2: Counter Punch

Lost its charm
Likes1. I still like the counter family, though felt like the season lost its charm. It also seemed like they were still relying on So Mun and they had little growth in their strength except for Hana.
2. I liked the side story of Hana and her first love (but why wear tracksuit on your date??), not so much on Mae Ok's relationship with the kid. Mo Tak is still ny fave counter. Im always scared that Jangmul will die but he always get out alive whew.
3. There was so much potential in the story but they execution wasnt that solid.
Dislikes
1. Jeok Bong was annoying and mostly useless aside from his nose. Too bad coz i like the actor.
2. The villains weren't menacing enough. The fight scenes were also repetitive since they introduced them so early in the story
3. Progression of the story, esp the evolution of the evil spirit just didnt make sense in the last 3 episodes.
4. As usual, Yung people didnt do anything.

Interesting plot but just went downhill
Finally finished this weekend drama after 6 months!Likes
1. The grandma was my favorite character. She started as the most hated but ended as the most loved and the one that glued everything back together for the family.
2. ML and FL and Haneul when they're together. Though FL turned from feisty to wimpy in the second half
3. When the family finally accepted ML and rallied behind him when he was having trouble with Junha.
4. ML's father slapping Junha hard.
5. Sejin finally booted out after her schemes were exposed.
Dislikes
1. The first part when the writer had so much screentime for Sejin (jeez she was everywhere getting into everyone's business) and being mean to her own dad.
2. The middle part when ML's mom was the crazy one opposing everything when she was actually just jealous.
4. The last 10 episodes should not have happened, esp the Junha storyline. How did the writer try to redeem him is beyond me.
4. There were storylines that didnt go the way i expected like the super boring story for Daesang and the elder brother and wife.
5. Maknae and FL brother dated for 1 year but never knew they were in laws. Duh.

Fun and easy to watch
Likes1. Some didnt like the comedy at the start but i liked it coz it seemed like a fun action show that doesnt take itself too seriously.
2. Love the Hangang team, esp bickering of Dujin and Chunseok. There's a running joke that Chunseok doesnt know how or doesnt want to swim but look who saved Dujin in the end! I thought it was Nahee or Jisoo but i shouted in surprise when i saw who it was! (This is my 3rd KHW drama this year!)
3. Kwon Sang Woo is really best at action comedy. No wonder Nahee has a massive crush on Dujin. Lol when she spends more time with them than with her own team.
4. Suprised that Sangyi can play an effective villain (he went on a crazy killing spree in ep 6). Actually felt bad for his character.
5. Of course show is not complete with Sung Dongil and Park Hosan.
Dislikes
1. 6 eps is not enough!
2. I wanted to know what happened to Giseok in the end.
Would i watch the team for another season? Yes!

Funny Whodunit
Likes1. Yebun and Jang Yeol together!! The comedy parts were so funny at the start then they later became partners. Hoping they really ended up together! Lee Minki's twinkling eyes in the last episode made him look handsome. Han Jimin was so funny im waiting for her to do a proper romcom.
2. I loved the best friend Okhui and how much she defends Yebun, the funny girl gang who would do anything for Okhui, and of course Unnie boyfriend!! The babytalk in the end was gross haha.
3. The aunt and the police chief. The 2521 parody wasnt funny to me but they were also cute. Esp the hotel handcuff scene. Lol.
Dislikes
1. Justice for Seonwoo 😠the writer tried to make him look so suspicious all through out the show! He acted so mysterious and tight lipped of course he will be a suspect.
2. There were times Yebun was frustrating coz she could have been smarter and used her powers more rather than keep on crying. They could have found the killer right after grandpa died.
3. Ep 14 was the worse episode. Wah! The killer suddenly went on a rampage and killed the two nice guys!!
5. Speaking of the killer, at first i didnt buy the motive but later on i thought yeah, psychopaths dont really need to have a reason to kill. And the killings really do escalate once they get the taste of it. I just didnt like how they tried to squeeze in Jang Yeol's nemesis in the end to close their story.
