I think persons weren't mad because he was her ''enemy'' he clearly liked her from the start but he wanted her to be good so he can continue liking her since liking a ''bad'' person would conflict with his morals. He was more desperate for her to be a good judge and a good person that's why he acted the way he acted not because he was her enemy.

Btw I started the show on Friday and I'm on ep 14 now so I'm not one of them just wanted to say my little 2 cents.

Seeing the relief from the victims' families in the court room was overwhelming, pheww so emotional.
