the beef that i have with TTEOM is the continuity errors. like one day ye binchang is a slave and then the next scene she is dressed like a princess while visiting their household, all while she is still considered as a slave.
then they have the scenes where fl and ml would promise to understand and listen to e/o before believing other people and literally the next scene, she is suspecting him of doing things and never really asks him if it's true. she just instantly gets mad at him. he does the same thing by promising her not to leave her side ever and a minute later, he leaves her, no explanations! 😐 i got so frustrated i had to read the novel.

i'm saying the "flirting" scenes in the beginning are so random and uncesessary, just yet. they never met e/o, they are not childhood friends. the "flow" of the scenes are off-putting. her character was written like an obsessive fan.
think if the situation was reversed. the girl with no emotion helps out a guy, invites him to live with her, and this guy starts making moves on her. films her while exercising and drools on her while she drinks water. not cringe enough? ok. he start to "daydream" of kissing her, while thinking of offering her milktea.
LinYi and ShenYue are the only reason i am still watching this. and basing on the other comments below, it seems i am not the only one who has somethings to say about FL's character. 🤷🏻♀️
possibly written by the same people who wrote the plot/script of Till The End of The Moon. 🙃 this has so much potential but everything is just so random. like the scenes don't even connect. they just made the leads flirt then break a "joke" to end the scene. it has its moments making your heart flutter thanks to the acting of lin yi and shen yue which is the reason why i'm still watching this show. but the writing did not even give their characters a strong foundation to start even a friendship/companionship. she just sees his moves as "flirting" and it bothers me that the story feels more about how to lure your next murder victim and how they will be willing to be murdered just because the murderer is good-looking. and i'm sorry that i had to say that.

i watched the anime in the official IQiyi youtube channel. the vid is 1-2hrs because they combined the episodes into 1 vid. (24 eps in total, if i remember correctly).
if you'll watch it because of the drama, you'll be disappointed because the only same character are the two leads, everything else is different, including the plot and setting. However, if you love watching animes, it's good and had a lot of typical funny anime scenes.
i don't think the anime is finished just yet. Personally, I'm waiting for season 2.
