i generally dislike that trope too and almost dropped it when i found out he was forced to marry someone else, but i think you'll actually miss out on a really good drama if you do drop it. the marriage between the ML and the princess ends up being more of a partnership and they agree upon a future divorce from the literal night they marry, there is no love triangle at all. ML is completely faithful to the FL. and the princess and the FL form a very close sisterhood as the princess helps her to grow and mature throughout the drama.

she's irritating at first, but she grows a lot within the series and becomes way more likeable, and also develops a true sisterhood with the FL

the princess is honestly a very likeable character, she does a lot to help the FL and ML, and has a very close bond with the FL. it's not the typical "love triangle" situation, since the princess doesn't want to be with the ML either.

i'm more surprised the actress who plays Song Wu is 31 haha, she looks so young

first half is more fluffy and funny while still dealing with serious topics, but i've heard the second half is a lot more serious and there's less comedy involved.

i doubt it since a lot of Dilraba's dramas use the same voice actress for her dubs, they'll probably just continue to dub her for consistency sake

i wish this was a full drama with a higher production value because the plot line had a lot of potential. nonetheless, it was still an enjoyable watch and i hope season 2 is announced soon

i do actually wonder if he went through with that, he seems like the type that would. this drama went in such an unexpected route for me because i thought it was going to go the route of the three of them taking down his corrupt father, rather than the way it actually ended up

i can agree with this, that the best torture for him is not revenge, but to have to live with knowing all of the horrible things he's done

i guess at least beom seok will have to live with finally realizing what he did

it is still a misunderstanding though, he thought soo ho and young yi were a thing, when young yi liked shi eun. he also misunderstood soo ho and shi eun's intentions a lot. yeah he has an inferiority complex, and trauma, but it was all misunderstandings that caused him to spiral

aside from the fact that MDL has a page for a second season (since sometimes it's unreliable), apparently this season was more of a flashback of shi eun's life before the actual main plot of the web novel, so i'd assume they'd make another season depicting his current situation

totally agree, like this all would have been prevented if he just communicated what was bothering him. i have zero sympathy for him
