I absolutely loved this drama. All because of the second couple. I originally thought I would hate this show ngl. I ended up forcing myself to watch the first few episodes despite hearing how boring the first couple was and you know what? They were right. I ended up skipping every scene with the first couple alone for the rest of the season, I just couldn’t handle that one actor’s constant smirk and the overacting from the other dude, no offense to them because maybe that’s what they were made to act like for this but it was awful for me. Lol. But anyways, the second couple ( Johan/North ) was what carried this show and the ONLY reason why I continued watching this. They were TOO GOOD. I am usually very picky when it comes to bl couples but I absolutely loved them together, the kiss scenes were GREAT and the chemistry between them wasn’t awkward at all surprisingly. I really liked North as a character as well so I always looked forward to him appearing lol. This series probably would have been a 10/10 for me if it was just them alone. Johan and North were just AMAZINGGG. Lol. BUT I must say, I am very interested in Phoon and that other dude’s story so I will definitely be tuning in for season 2.
so if i skipped to the episodes with the second couple, would i be confused ? Or should i just force myself to watch the first couple ? Bc i’m sure i’ve seen worse lol
One thing that annoys me to bits is that Po doesn't turn on his damn camera!! It's literally the job he was hired…
OMGGGGGGGG as a photographer this has been driving me crazy lol i thought i would be the only one to notice LMAO the camera is always facing their lower body
by far the best bl i’ve ever watched ( and honestly, one of my favorite dramas of all time now ). history 3 trapped has finally been dethroned after all the years. i really didn’t want it to end. the chemistry was incredible, the acting was incredible( I absolutely adore the actors now ), the storyline was well done, the cinematography was divine and the ost was SO good. there was truly not one flaw in this story. i did not have to skip ANYTHING. i am definitely going to rewatch it soon.. ughhh I’m going to miss them so much.
honestly if you’ve watched the Japanese version ( like me lol ) the way he is acting is completely normal. if you’re expecting a serious show, this most definitely isn’t for you bc it gets crazier LOL
edit: so far I prefer the Japanese ver but I will continue watching bc it’s kinda funny and entertaining lol
It makes me mad when a good series like this one is ignored or underrated.. all because it doesn’t have a** grabbing on the first episode and has a STORY LINE instead. crazy. anyways, i’m enjoying this a lot so far.
DEFINITELY my favorite BL of the year. And probably will end up being one of my all time favorite BLs period. This is BEYOND good. The acting is SO natural, the music is great, the cinematography is great, everything is so well done and not over the top. I love how it also perfectly captures the awkwardness of a first relationship in high school too. Those first few kisses were hilarious lol. Nothing is too rushed and it has good story development which is so important to me. I didn’t have to skip any scenes ONCE and that’s rare for me. I’m happy I started this.
Maaaan I’m not going to lie.. I really enjoyed this show up until episode 11. That ending disappointed me so much. It was unbelievably rushed.. Like I would have love to have seen what actually happened instead of just reading it. And when it comes to the second couple, I have no opinion w because I skipped all their scenes. BUUT I am proud that this is FINALLY a proper Chinese BL though, I did genuinely enjoy it ( not the ending ) and I hope this opens doors to even more releases.
