I created a MDL account for BFTB too! Urgh so it was frustrating when it kept saying my account is under review when I wanted to post a link. I looked it up and apparently newbies can't post links until a certain amount of posts they submit/comment or something like that. 😭

The novel didn't focus too much on their backstory, but it did provide a little bit more info. Not sure if the drama will show more later or not.

If I recall correctly, Suyin intentionally came to Tianyao (so she can get his heart protection for Mushen and kill him because in the novel, "any demon" is deemed as evil for the sects and faked that she was heavily injured. Tianyao helps her out and falls in love with her during that process. So in the drama, the shadow play is similar to how Tianyao and Suyin met/their backstory.
