The vampires eyes are sensitive to the UV rays right? then why do they react when the lights are switch on? Does…
Almost all light bulbs (fluorescent tubes, standard incandescent bulbs, led diodes, etc.) emit UV light, but very little. Well, now-days they make different coatings and use different materials to limit UV light emitting from the bulbs, but if there is a crack in coating or material change because of heat light bulb produces, it still can emit UV light.
So if you believe that mythical beings, the vampires, are sensitive to UV light, then they can be sensitive to light bulbs.
Well he didn't die. They just didn't show the scene how he survived, recovered from bullet wound and emigrated to Philippines. Since he is alive you can predict what happened, they even talk how she shot him with salt bullet. Salt bullet in most cases does only flesh wound and does not penetrate bones or internal organs.
Why didn't they show those scenes? Well I don't know. Maybe they don't need to or there was no money for extra 5 minutes or they cut it out because it was boring or to make people like you to say: no sense or etc. (last word are a bit rude - don't take me seriously)
