Considering this plotline they're onto (past lives reincarnations and rebirth concepts), this might be plausible but might be a probability that:
1) Nakjun was not involving to any love affairs, but might be crime affair (or might not, either)
hear me out
- this might be entirely possible that Nakjun's paraplegia due to involving this deep-rooted case that, either: he took Somi's son for obeying the shark's order, but in halfway/the end, he secured the son faraway from his radar aka the convent/church; and when that perpetrator knew that agenda, decided to 'amputate' him to his mortal world's entirety
- and no, if Nakjun himself have an affair with Somi, what in the world is he gaining a ticket to Heaven from the first place?
- I thought Nakjun was an architect, but he actually was a civil officer, specifically: detective too? Alongside that shark??
2) Nakjun and Somi might be lover/married couple from past lives' incarnation (hence 'sinned' relationship she felt when she was clueless)
3) Somi is not Haesook from Haesook's era (freal, but again, I might be wrong; based from reading y'all theories below)
4) say no more for the pastor. y'all are right: pastor is Somi's son
5) maybe the pastor is also Haesook's relative from past lives, too? who knows? (ie. son, or past husband... idk)
