Coffee Prince & Bromance were the best Gender bender ever, where the girls really looked and acted as males. Best casting and acting really.
The Japanese 'Hanazakari no Kimitachi e', was way better the the Korean remake 'To The Beautiful You', as the lady acting as the boy was way to femalish in look as well as in her act, to even be considered as male...bad casting and acting.
Japan & China do better in casting when they do bender genders then Korea really...the exception being Coffee Prince which was just bloody awesome.
Yes historical's can get away with pretty men and women more then Mordern day because of clothings, the gracefulness and elegance of action, speaking, etc of that time...but sometimes it's way to obvious, when the director etc miss details in costumes or the female form looking more busty than flat.
Yes great news indeed...I hope all those gems that got half subject never subbed will be subbed too and added and new dramas too. There are so many really great and good Cdramas that we miss out on just because they never get subbed or subbed halfway and then dropped leaving us viewers hanging, anticipating, hoping and wishing .
Was introduced to him in the drama "Ashes of Love".
He was brilliant as Run Yu, the Night Immortal. The only reason that I comoleted "Ashes of Love". He was brilliant in portraying the many different shades and emotions of Run Yu so elegant and beautifully. He made us empathise, sympathise and feel each and every emotion he went through.
Loved reading it and true for the cinematography and costumes stunning indeed.
I watched this drama long time back and liked it, though some of the things were off putting and could have been done way way better, the writers of the show did not do their job really. Most of the plot and story were just to repeative, boring, dragging and stupid.
I personally liked Tiffany but the one who truly stole the show was Vanness Wu as Touba Yu.
As for Mao Xing Tong as Chung Rao, she was okay, no different from so many bitter, bitchy character in so many many romantic dramas really. Her character truly was well acted but the writers again were disappointing in showing or validating, her crazy logic in the show.
The two shinning star Vanness Wu as Touba Yu and Tiffany as Princess Wei Young. Overall a really good drama.
Watching this and currently on epi 42 and have to say am in love with Run Yu, the development in his character, changes he goes through, etc so well portrayed by the actor. Brilliant job by him and he's one reason I am watching this show.
I'm currently re watching the drama too because I still couldn't get over it LOL. I don't understand why people…
Yes a lot draggy with her story going in circles and the Redemption thing which could have finished earlier except they had to provide Fan service by giving us lovey dovey scenes between the leads.
Was here for Yang Yang, but the was disappointing really, espeially the females who are supposed to be strong martial artist, fighters, but their stance, attitude, acting etc urgh. No words really.
Haven't read novel, manga etc so am not comparing to it. A first epi should be griping, intriguing to get the viewer interested, their first epi was boring. Show of skin and good looks so not make up for bad acting or story.
First saw him in TMOPB & fell in love with him. Then I again saw him in Negotiator and now as my most favourite character of his Dr. Zong Yue, in "The Legend of Fu Yao". He with his long hair, flowy dress, cold, satirical demour, with that smile was PERFECT, as the Dr.

Am going to go look up his other works too.
