Am i the only one who thinks that Tod is really SUS?? Like come on he is a bit TOO kind. 🤔🤔
I've been suspecting him from the very beginning. He is kind, but at the same time doesn't really propose smart solutions to White's problems. When White goes to him for brainstorming, he's just like "hmmm what you're saying makes sense" lol. I feel like he's just collecting information from White, and you never know what he's up to.
Wow, I really enjoyed this! First of all, I should say that I'm a huge fan of Eileen Chang, and I think this adaptation was close to her style in terms of mood and depth of characters. I really, really liked the cinematography (as expected of Christopher Doyle), the colours and the clothes were so pretty! The acting was phenomenal!! I'm a big fan of Sandra Ma, and she delivered! It was really nice to see parallels between her and her aunt, and I liked the color change in those scenes. Eddie Peng was very successful in delivering a playboy character, his demeanor and expressions were very convincing (he even convinced me lol). Yin Fang and Faye Yu were also very good. The only thing that I didn't like was perhaps while trying to convey the complexity of human emotions and experiences, they made some scenes very confusing, which to me disturbed the narrative a bit. Other than that, everything was perfect! Perhaps with this cast and crew, I am being a little bit biased ;) (Also, I enjoy open endings and making my own interpretations, so this movie was just for me, but if you're not a fan of arthouse kind of movies, maybe you can skip this one.) But yeah, definitely one of the best movies I've seen this year!!
Am I the only one who thinks the production quality of the first episode was very low compared to other recent GMMTV productions? The narrative, for example, just felt unprofessional, as if it was put together haphazardly. I know it is early to talk about overall quality, but I hope they increase it in the upcoming episodes. Otherwise, it would be a waste of perfect acting and an intriguing plot.
Just watched the first two episodes, such a beautiful drama!! The cinematography is very pretty, and so are the actresses. But I'm worried whether they'll be able to cover the whole story in just 6 short episodes.
Such a cruel movie. It makes you so hopeful, then takes all of that hope away... Very very beautiful nonetheless. Although short, the time the two leads had spent together was so meaningful.
