I suspect internal conflicts...whether the crew hasn't been paid or the producer has other opinions than the director, etc....we can only guess.

There is a new rumored date, though...*facepalm*
I've decided not to post it here because it's awful when everyones' hopes get crushed if the drama doesn't start airing on that date.

I keep telling myself that it isn't even noon in Beijing. So there is still lots of time to make any kind of announcement on V-Day. ;)

There MIGHT be some news today (regarding the broadcasting date). Because August 7th is Chinese Valentine's Day (Qixi/Tanabata) and many people on Weibo are hinting that someone (the producer?) will be making some kind of announcement....
As always: Take it with a grain of salt to avoid further disappointment.

I'm wondering if we hit the 3000-watcher mark before the drama finally starts airing. :D

Some source I am not able to quote (because it's Chinese) said that The Wolf is definitely going to air this year. Seemed quite official as well....But I can't tell when... :-(

It's getting ridiculous...I can understand that there are national regulations that the production companies have to follow but that can't be the only reason the drama has been held back for two years. Other historical dramas have managed to air, too.

Sadly the official weibo has been dead for 1,5 years... :(

I absolutely LOVE the choice of the (background) music in this drama. ❤

I suppose it´s an automatism. MDL has July 27th as the starting date, so once this date is reached (as of today) it automatically says that the drama is airing - even if it isn´t in real life.

The pushback date (Aug, 20) is just a rumor I picked up on Weibo. Nothing legit and even less confirmed. I wouldn´t put too much hope in that. I just posted it because I personally find it easier to have a certain date that I can hang on to, than being left hanging in the air with no news at all.

If I didn`t have so much time at the moment (summer vacation ftw!) I wouldn´t be researching so much. And if "The Wolf" doesn´t start airing tomorrow I`m really going to take a break from all this...well...drama. ;)

Thanks for your explanations! :) I'm normally more into K-Dramas (at least they have reliable broadcasting dates :D ) and haven't been obsessed like this in forever when it comes to a Drama.
So I wanted to know if there's a possibility that I'll wake up one day -pleasantly surprised- to see that "The Wolf" is online already (preferrably the day after tomorrow :P ).

Just asking...have other C-Dramas aired completely without warning/promotion? Just *poof* and they were there?

Yay, thanks! I definitely won't disappear from MDL. It has opened a new (very time consuming) world to me. :D I have been watching Asian dramas since 2011 and I'm wondering why I haven't joined MDL earlier. :D
I just hope that there'll be more stills and trailers before the release (some fodder for the waiting masses ;P). I desperately want to know and see more. <3
