I'm pretty sure he can't read very well. He may only be able to recognize some of the very basic characters. In other scenes, he struggles to even write basic characters/phrases.
Very interesting and informative! One thing to note is that some dramas tagged with romance and age gap may not have a corresponding older man/younger woman and vice versa tag because the characters involved may be the same gender and that doesn't have a unique tag.
My biggest gripe with love "triangles" is that they are not even triangles. Person A is liked by Person B and Person C. Or maybe Person A likes Person B and is liked by Person C but at the end of the day there is no love line between Person B and C.
