•2020-01-30 > Just re-watched this gem. It was even better than I remembered.
With the understanding that the story is what happens, beginning-middle-end, and the plot is the sequence in which that story is told, what I noticed this time was the seamless plot, back and forth in -time, -place, -action. I had no confusion or problem knowing where we were. Repeat: a Gem. The writer and the PD, and certainly others, give us good story-telling!

2020-01-16 > Notes to myself. Seoul 2001. Winter, Spring. We see real neighborhoods (-dong). Hyo-dong (Jung Joon) never walks if he can run. Fine dust particle haze throughout many locations. The cinematography is well done. And, lots of saturated colors: yellow, pumpkin, orange--reminds me of my gateway to Hallyu, https://kisskh.at/1310-duelist. Background music Excellent in choices for the scenes. Music choices sometimes surprised me, to my delight--wait for the organ!. Streets of 2001 Hong Kong, bustling with shoppers, vendors, sightseers, scenic views.

Delicious Proposal seems yet another retelling of Romeo and Juliet: fussing & feuding families, fighting with food, not swords. But with a happier ending in the final episode.

It's a small world. Delicious Proposal aired in early 2001. In episode 13, at 12:36, on the wall of Hee-ae's (Son Ye Jin) bedroom is an oblong picture with sailboats and lighthouses. Last year in 2019 we bought the absolute identical picture and frame in a thrift shop in Tallahassee, Florida, US. It hangs in our living room today. I've done a google image search on it. No matches found.

Title Always
Everyone praised this movie but to me the story was just average. The boxer part about collecting money is a copycat…
2020-01-10 > Poia, "Always" is often regarded as a retelling of Chaplin's 1931 Masterpiece "City Lights." Kind regards.
