Recalling and paraphrasing with imperfect memory from my theater days and classes of 50+ years ago... Resolution: MLN lacked real resolution. That's why it's unsettling. Resolution is when the protagonist during the drama learns something about themselves that they should have known, but didn't, from the beginning.
Only the Yeom Ki Jung character (Lee EL) came close to this resolution.
May I recommend a Japanese movie and a Japanese drama involving family.
