He Suye was not pursuing Shen Xifan when she was still with his toxic bf. Even when HSY didn't know about the break up yet, he kept a distance, hesistated many times. He was just a friend and a doctor. If you really watched the whole thing, you would know the difference between his active pursuing after knowing SXF is single vs when he still knew she had a bf.
Please if the doctor-patient trope gives you the ick, then don't watch this?? This drama is obviously fiction and made with creative freedom. And not for you.

It's worth more than 8.9 actually. Not every show should be rated based on every technicalities whatsoever. I personally rate shows I watch based on how it affected me, how it made me feel. And this show was quite an experience for me. Every time I finish an episode and come here to rate, I always thought 10/10 is not enough because the more episode I watch, the more it gets better. Mind you, this drama is also very down-rated by haters but still manage to get this much rating so the real rating should have been higher than this. Going through social medias, this drama is very well loved. I think it's very worthy of its current rating and deserve more.
He has a very short appearance after Suye and Xifan got together but it showed how Xifan has already moved on and not affected by Yan Heng anymore. It was an important scene imo. The final closure.

It's simple for me, It makes me feel good. I especially watch this after a busy day at work and it relaxes my mood. I look forward to it everyday. In a way, it does heal me.
