From the moment he decided he was going to seek Justice for the Chiyan Army he knew what the consequences would be. He was poisoned and to regain a normal appearance he had to sacrifice Hsiang vitality, health and appearance. He always knew he’d die. He was both a scholar and a soldier and he chose to revert to his original identity of Lin Shu and save the country. He’d always made it clear he didn’t want to burden Nihuang since she’d be widowed early. It was very well done.

This show is so so good. Emperor and dad are great characters for comic relief, just adorable! ZLS is amazing in the show, her acting is just spot on. And as for Wu Lei, always amazing. Lol total hottie now. I still remember him as a little kid!
